Curator’s statement
I had my bachelorette party in Niagara-on-the-Lake, and it was one of my favorite trips! This lesser-known wine region is beautiful and has a charming feel to it. Each winery is unique and gives you a different experience. This a must-do for a relaxing and fun quick getaway with your girls!

Day 1: Arrival

Fly in on a Friday morning or early afternoon and get settled into your hotel room. Take your time getting ready for the evening and catch up with your girls. We are not wasting time on this trip and are going to get right into wine tasting!
In the early evening, head over to Pellar Estates for their Greatest Winery Tour. As one of the oldest wineries in town, this is a great place to start learning about this region's wine. The wow factor of this winery is their ice bar, where they showcase their ice wine.
After the tour, head to Solaia Cucina e Cantina for dinner. It's an intimate space for you and your girls to enjoy great appetizers and entrees.
Day 2: Wineries & shopping

Make sure to make breakfast and get your caffeine in the morning, because day 2 is going to be packed with activities. You'll start out at Trius Winery with their #TheTriusTour. This would be ideal in the early afternoon as it is outside. Make sure you're picture-ready because this winery has the perfect Instagram-worthy photo ops. They have a flower wall, cotton candy with wine, a room made out of mirrors and so much more.
After that, head to lunch at the Irish Harp Pub. This is a local favorite for comfort food and light drinks at an affordable price. The atmosphere is lively and friendly.
Girls always need to get a little shopping in, so go just down the road from the pub to walk around the charming downtown area. It's filled with small businesses that sell local products and so many other amazing finds.
Next, head to Wayne Gretzky Estates to curate your own wine flights. Perfect for those who want to try new things or are still exploring what they like. It's great because they accept walk-ins, giving you ample time to walk around downtown without being in a hurry.
The last stop of the day will be Colaneri and their tasting experience. This is another winery where you get to pick out what you want to try. But, you will have an expert with you to answer all your questions and even give you recommendations while they talk about the winery's history.
Day 3: Brunch, food pairings & black glass tasting

For the last day, you have to start with brunch. Is it really a girls' trip without brunch?! The District Tapas + Bar is a vibrant place with excellent food and mimosas for very reasonable price. Did I mention they have bottomless mimosas?
After brunch, go over to Stratus for their Food and Wine Lab. Here, in a private setting, you will learn how wine pairs with different foods like chocolate, cheese and fruit. You'll be able to discuss how everyone experiences the pairings differently and why some pairings are better than others.
Finally, it's time to put your knowledge of wine to the test! For the last tasting, go to Between the Lines for their black glass tasting. You won't be told what you are trying and you can't see it (hence the black glass). You and your girls will use everything you've learned this weekend to try to guess what is in the glass! You may even want to add in a little competition. Don't worry though — you'll have an expert guide to explain more about what you just tasted.
Wrap up the weekend with a dinner and maybe even head over to Niagara Falls for some gambling if you'd like. But definitely soak up the last minutes of this amazing getaway and get ready for the next girls' trip!
