Things to do Tulum, Mexico

Jungle party in Tulum at a cenote.

Adventure

Tulum is known for its great kitesurfing! You can grab a lesson in front of Ahau on Tulum beach. There are several outfitters that offer paddleboarding and snorkeling in the area’s many cenotes, as well as zip-lining tours through the jungle.

History

Be sure to visit the Tulum ruins! This impressive 13th-century Mayan archaeological site will delight all ages. Look for a glimpse of the Carribean Sea behind the Castillo.

Nature

Take a boat tour in the Sian Kaan biosphere, a beautiful area of unspoiled natural beauty on the south end of Tulum. We saw turtles, dolphins, manatees and hundreds of fish and beautiful birds.

Wellness

Indulge at Yaan Wellness Spa and enjoy one of their exclusive Mexican therapies like the Mayan Renaissance, which features a cleansing followed by deep massage with rose petals and sacred Mayan herbs. If you’re a new or experienced yogi, you will find a diverse offering of yoga classes.

Places to eat & drink Tulum, Mexico

delicious Lunch at Las Margaritas Tulum

Hartwood

This is hands down my favorite place to eat and drink in Tulum. I also have their cookbook! One of my best meals includes their Passion in the Jungle cocktail, jicama salad, and grilled octopus. Best to make reservations one month in advance.

Arca

A jungle side gem that feels refined in a dreamy atmosphere. They have the coolest cocktails and mouthwatering food.

Posada Margarita

Love this Italian beach shabby chic vibe on the beach! Great place for a relaxing, casual lunch or a dinner out with plates of delicious homemade pasta and seafood, and impressive wine selection.

Raw Love

Located at Ahau Tulum, the best açaí bowls and smoothies.
