Day 1: Arrive and explore Warren Street

A plant-filled dining area of a restaurant

Arrive in Hudson, check in to your hotel, and head to brunch. The Tavern at the Rivertown Lodge is a perfect spot on the far edge of the main part of the city.

After brunch, it’s time for shopping and activities on Warren Street, the main hub of Hudson. Start at Poured Candle Bar to create your own luxury home candles or home fragrances while sipping on some wine. The candles take a few hours to set, so you can come back later in the day to pick them up.

Head down Warren Street and spend the afternoon browsing through the independent shops and boutiques on the search for home goods, furniture and vintage clothing. Standouts include Clove & Creek, Nikki Chasin and WYLDE. Visit gourmet markets Olde Hudson or Talbott & Arding for any culinary gifts or groceries to bring home.

Before dinner, head to The Maker Lounge, an intimate and swanky cocktail bar made out of a former 19th century carriage house.

For dinner, Feast & Floret is one of the best Italian restaurants in Hudson that sources most of its ingredients locally. For something more casual, Lil Deb’s Oasis and Backbar are also great options.

After dinner, head to Lawrence Park for a nightcap in their outdoor back patio.

Day 2: Brunch and breweries

An indoor dining area in an open-concept restaurant

Have one more brunch. La Perche Bakery & Bar has delicious eggs and fresh breads, while Kitty's Market is perfect for a grab and go breakfast right by the train station.

If you have a bit more time today, head to one of the breweries in the area. Hudson Brewing Company or Union Street Brewery are two options within walking distance.

Need to know

Ubers are not readily available in Hudson. If you'd like to stay longer to explore the Hudson Valley wineries, make sure to have a car.
