Curator’s statement
Colorado is the perfect location to visit for Spring Break. Take one last chance to hit the ski slopes before the snow melts, while it's also still warm enough to check out the parks and nature with some hiking and biking on sunny days. Our family, with young kids, fell in love with spring skiing in Colorado. Beaver Creek Resort now has a special place in our hearts we can't wait to go back!

Days 1-2: Beaver Creek Resort
We kicked off our family ski trip with two incredible days at Beaver Creek Resort. Staying at the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa made our experience even more seamless, with its prime location near the Ski School. The proximity allowed us to easily drop off our kids for lessons, so we could hit the slopes. The resort's luxurious amenities and attentive staff truly elevated our stay, and the skiing conditions were perfect. The Spa at the Park Hyatt is beautiful. I highly recommend making an appointment after a long day in the mountains.
Our favorite places to eat at in the Resort area:
The Dusty Boot Steakhouse and Saloon: A family-friendly spot offering a laid-back atmosphere with American Style Pub Food. This was our kids favorite place to eat and the Brussel sprouts were AMAZING.
Blue Moose Pizza (seasonal): If you're looking for a quick and tasty bite (or to take back to your hotel room after a long ski day), head to Blue Moose Pizza for delicious pizzas made with fresh ingredients.
Rimini Gelato & Cafe: Located in the heart of Beaver Creek Village, Rimini Gelato & Cafe offers authentic Italian gelato made with high-quality ingredients. My kids made us go back there multiple times!
Day 3: Rocky Mountain National Park
After a couple days of skiing, our next adventure took us to Rocky Mountain National Park, where we took in the natural beauty of the Rockies. If you need a place to stay, Estes Park is the perfect area with lots of options for lodging. Exploring the park's easy hiking trails was perfect for our young kids. We also enjoyed a picnic lunch surrounded by stunning scenery to break up the drive and burn off some energy. The scenic drive, particularly along Trail Ridge Road, offers breathtaking views.
Days 4-5: Boulder
Our final leg of the trip brought us to Boulder, a vibrant city known for its outdoor adventures and family-friendly attractions. The bike parks and paved trails were a hit with our active kids, providing endless opportunities for exploration and FREE fun. We brought our bikes and spent our days riding through scenic parks and along Boulder Creek We explored Pearl Street Mall and visited attractions like Chautauqua Park, which added to the charm of our Boulder experience.
Overall, Colorado offers the perfect combination of world-class skiing, family-friendly amenities and outdoor adventure, making it an ideal destination for a spring break ski trip with kids. Whether you're hitting the slopes together or exploring the beauty of the Rocky Mountains, you're sure to create lasting memories that your family will cherish for years to come.
