Curator’s statement
St. Barth’s, or Saint Barthélemy, had been on my bucket list for a long time. This small island in the Caribbean has some of the world's best beaches and has become a popular getaway for celebrities. This French-speaking paradise is the perfect mixture of luxe and relaxation. Perfect for couples or big groups who want to celebrate, there is something for everyone on this petite île.

Things to do in St. Barths
Explore St. Barth's Beaches
Rent a car for the day — preferably a Mini Cooper convertible — and drive top down to visit some of St. Barth’s beautiful beaches.
St. Jean: You know those pictures of the planes flying low right above the water? That’s St. Jean beach. Watch the sea planes descend as you swim in the clear blue water. Located next to the famed Eden Roc hotel, the beach has several places to eat & drink.
Colombier Beach: The trek down to this protected beach is well worth it. With pristine water, white sand and a string of yachts that pull up, you can easily spend a few years here. For us ladies, lay about topless and feel très Parisian.
Saline: You’ll see why this beach is usually included in lists of the world’s most beautiful beaches. This beach is THAT beach you dream about swimming in during NYC winters.
Gouverneur: Peaceful and protected, this beach is perfect for some privacy. Along with Colombier & Saline, bring towels and some snacks and lay about for a few hours as if you are local.
Shell Beach: This small beach is a St. Barths must. With tiny shells instead of sand, you truly feel like a mermaid. Make reservations at the Shellona restaurant and spend the day.
Boat or Yacht rental: If you are going with a group, a boat day is a must (and a hell of a lot cheaper than if its just two of you). Sail around, anchor down at some beaches for quick swims and enjoy the beautiful views of the island.

Lunch in St. Barths
Shellona: As mentioned before, make reservations at Shellona and reserve chairs so you can spend the day relaxing. This restaurant is a vibe with delicious food and drinks.
Nikki Beach: The classic Nikki Beach Sunday brunch is one of those things you just must do when in St. Barths. Everyone loves a day time party, and it's even better when you can take a dip in the ocean in between drinks. Make reservations for the 2:00 pm time.
Gyp-Sea Beach Club: A bohemian beach club on St. Jean, the Gyp-Sea Beach Club is the perfect mix of relaxation, good music and good food. We spent the whole morning here before the Nikki brunch then went back right after to wind down before heading back to the hotel.
Sand Bar at Eden Rock: It’s at Eden Rock, need I say more!?
Pearl Beach: Located at the Pearl Beach hotel on St.Jean beach, it’s a bit more casual than, say, Nikki Beach, but the people watching is just as good.
Dinner in St. Barths
Bonito: Très tendy with a beautiful view of the sunset.
Le Tamarin: Set in a beautiful garden, this is a must.
Eddy’s Restaurant: One of our favorite dinners. Fairly priced, amazing food and great ambiance. You may even be served by Eddy himself.
Le Select: Screw the fancy places and go here one night. With a simple menu of literally burgers, fries and hotdogs, have yourself your cheapest night in St. Barths while you eat and drink with the locals. Walk around town, hit up different bars and have yourself a casual, fun night.
