Advisor - Cincinnati: Queen City on the Ohio River
Curator’s statement

Cincinnati, Ohio, is a city that masterfully blends a rich history with a vibrant, modern vibe. Located on the banks of the Ohio River, this Midwestern gem is known for its picturesque skyline and distinctive neighborhoods. Visitors can explore the iconic Over-the-Rhine district, which features beautifully preserved 19th-century architecture, trendy boutiques and a thriving food scene. Cincinnati’s deep German heritage is evident in its love of beer and bratwurst. This is best experienced at local breweries or during the annual Oktoberfest Zinzinnati, one of the largest celebrations of its kind outside of Germany. Sports fans flock to Great American Ball Park to cheer on the Cincinnati Reds, the oldest professional baseball team, or to Paycor Stadium for Bengals football games. For a family-friendly outing, I suggest the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden. It is one of the oldest and most respected zoos in the country, offering unforgettable animal encounters. Cincinnati is also a city of arts and culture, boasting attractions that rival larger metropolitan areas. The Cincinnati Art Museum houses an impressive collection spanning 6,000 years. While the Contemporary Arts Center showcases cutting-edge works in a stunning Zaha Hadid-designed building. Music lovers can enjoy performances by the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra or Broadway-caliber shows at the Aronoff Center for the Arts. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the rolling hills and scenic parks, including Eden Park, offering panoramic views of the city and river. A walk across the Roebling Suspension Bridge, a precursor to the Brooklyn Bridge, offers a unique perspective on Cincinnati’s blend of historic charm and modern growth. Whether you’re visiting for sports, culture or food, Cincinnati is a city full of surprises.
