Day 1: Naples and Pompeii

Take advantage of your early arrival in Naples by making a stop in Pompeii to do a self guided tour of this ancient city that was buried in volcanic ash Stop for lunch in a local Naples restaurant to sample Naples famous Neapolitan pizza. Then continue on your journey as your driver takes you to Hotel Margherita in Praiano. Situated between Positano and Amalfi it is the perfect spot to experience The Amalfi Coast. Relax at the pool and grab a cocktail or glass of wine at the lounge bar. Enjoy dinner at the hotel's M'Ama! Restaurant ,suspended between sky and sea, on the Rooftop Terrace.

Day 2: Amalfi Coast

Start your day off with a seven-hour private boat tour of the Amalfi coast, visit the important cities of Amalfi, Positano, Furore Fiord, Conca Dei Marini. While in Amalfi take time to tour the St. Andrew Cathedral built in 1100. Buy a bottle of Amalfi's famous limoncello and be sure to try the Instagramabble lemon sorbet served in a lemon before heading back to your boat. While in Positano do some shopping and grab some lunch. Enjoy the famous views of Amalfi and capture the beauty with lots of photos.

Day 3: Italian Cooking Class

Take an authentic Italian cooking class at Hotel Margherita onsite. Learn how to make fresh pasta, eggplant parmigiano, limoncello, and more. Later head to downtown Praiano and do some shopping. Make sure to stop at LaBacheca Amalfi Coast Ceramics. If you are not ready to end your time in town have dinner at the must-eat spot Ristorante Il Pino, owned by father and son. Enjoy the lively and fun atmosphere.

Day 4: Capri

Catch the 8:15 a.m. shuttle from the hotel for a tour of Capri. First stop is Marina di Praia beach. You will stop to see the famous Blue Grotto (be prepared to wait for your boat's turn to enter) and then on to Capri Island. Ride the chairlift to the highest point on the island of Capri. Spend three hours on your own strolling along Via Camarelle famous for its high-end stores. Do some shopping, have lunch and explore the beauty and views in Augustus Gardens. Then board your boat back to the hotel but first stopping to take a swim in a quiet area.

Day 5: Trip to Florence

It is time to say farewell to Amalfi and move on to the cultural city of Florence. Board a train at the Napoli train station for a three-hour journey to Florence. Arrive in Florence and travel to your hotel, Hotel Calimala, a unique art hotel in the heart of Florence. Stroll through Florence at your leisure, do shopping along the way. Grab a drink at the hotel's rooftop bar but skip a sit-down dinner to instead eat your way through Florence on the Oltarno at Sunset Food and Wine Tour. Sample Florence's finest foods, order wine from a wine window, savor a Florentine steak, and end with gelato.

Day 6: Beautiful Florence

Today is filled with art and culture! Wake up early and take a walk to Piazzale Michelangelo and climb the steps to the top for panoramic sunrise views of the city. It will be much cooler to do this early in the day and the sunrise views will be unforgettable. Next, a three-hour Skip the Line Florence Walking Tour with David. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio and marvel at Michelangelo's David. Grab lunch in Piazza Della Repubblica, the busy square in the center of Florence. Time for a semi-private tour of the Uffizi Gallery. Discover the greatest masterpieces of the Renaissance by artists Sandro Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael, and many others. End your time in Florence with dinner in one of the many aesthetic rooms at Trattoria Zaza in Piazza Mercato Centrale. Be sure to make a reservation ahead to avoid standing in line.


Day 7: Rome

Time to jump on a train and travel to the iconic city of Rome. Check in to your hotel U Visionary hotel. A golf cart tour is the perfect way to explore all of Rome with a tour guide. First stop is the Spanish Steps and ending at the Pantheon. All the sightseeing has made you work up an appetite. On the way to your next tour make a stop at the Trevi Fountain just a short walk from your hotel. Take advantage of diminished crowds later in the day to get the best photos. Then on to get a real taste of Rome with a walking street food tour. Stroll through the streets stopping at La Salumeria for charcuterie, wine and more.

Day 8: Rome Exploration

Today is the final day to soak in all the history of Rome. Take a private early Sistine Chapel with Vatican Tour. This early tour will help you avoid standing in line outside in the heat if visiting during summer months. Wonder at the treasures of the Sistine Chapel and Vatican and end your tour in St. Peter's Basilica. No visit to Rome is complete without a stop to see the ancient Roman Colosseum. Take a nighttime tour to get a unique perspective. The Colosseum at night tour makes for an amazing private opportunity without crowds. As a grand finale to your time in Italy, you will get to go underground in the Colosseum to experience what life felt like as a gladiator. Ciao Italia!
