Curator’s statement
There's a good chance you've been to Los Cabos, or know someone who has or has heard a bunch of people talk about the destination in the past three years. Since 2020 Los Cabos has been more popular than ever. They've also opened more new luxury hotels in the past two years than anyone else with more on the way. Los Cabos is one of the easiest and best fun-in-the-sun destinations to reach from the West Coast, Southwest, Midwest, East Coast and South. Los Cabos is made up of the towns of San Jose, which has a more authentic feel, and Cabo San Lucas which is a little more lively. Los Cabos has something for everyone! From high-end luxury accommodations to family-friendly resorts and all-inclusive options, Los Cabos has a variety of places to stay to fit everyone's budget. You can choose to relax and chill by the pool or enjoy any of the unique offerings that make Los Cabos so spectacular. From deep sea fishing, snorkeling/diving, surfing, horseback riding, cooking classes, farm tours, golf, ATV and world-class spas. What else do you need?

Things to do in Los Cabos
Los Cabos is a great place to chill, but also offers so fantastic experiences.
Water
Spending time in the water is a must. Cabo Adventures has great half-day and sunset excursions with options for potential snorkeling and swimming. They provide drinks and lite bites to enjoy while sailing taking in the beauty of the ocean. Los Cabos is home to some of the best deep-sea fishing in the world. If reeling in a prized marlin is on your bucket list this is the place to do it. There are plenty of fishing charters leaving from the harbor daily to meet your group's needs.
Adventure
If you're seeking something a little different and in the elements Wild Canyon has a variety of activities, ATV and dune buggy tours through canyon and desert terrain down to the beach, as well as zip-lines, bungee jumps, and other cool adrenaline-filled experiences.
Cooking
Eating great food is a fun part of traveling. Knowing where the food comes from and how to make it, makes the food taste even better. There are several organic farms in the Los Cabos area offering tours, cooking classes, and a restaurant to dine. Two of the most popular are Tamrindos and Flora Farms. If you want a unique experince with a wonderful new culinary experience Monte Cardon is from former head of Tamrindos.
Beach
There are miles of gorgeous beaches in Los Cabos to explore, lay out, and enjoy. One thing to be transparent about is the majority of beaches in Los Cabos are nonswimming beaches. Not all, but a good majority. If you want to surf or try to surf Cabo Surf Hotel offers rentals and lessons.
Whales & Whale Sharks
If you've always wanted to see a whale in the wild January to March in Los Cabos is filled with whales in the bay. You can take a whale watching tour or see whale spouts from the beach or your hotel pool. The largest species of fish is the whale shark. They're very common in Baja and swimming with a whale shark is life-changing. Don't worry these are gentle giants and they cruise the top of the surface. The best place to swim with a Whale Shark is in La Paz which is just over a two-hour drive from Los Cabos.

Sports
If you golf or traveling with a golfer, Los Cabos is home to seven world-class courses open to the public.
Day trips
The Arch of Cabo San Lucas is a must when you're in town. Take a designated tour to go to the arch or a water taxi that also stops at small beaches along the way. San Jose, the town of San Jose is an authentically charming town with great shopping, restaurants and a gorgeous cathedral built in 1803. If you're at a hotel closer to San Jose than Cabo it's a short walk to town. Cascada Sol De Mayo hiking trail is a relatively easy hike through the desert to an oasis waterfall and pool to swim and enjoy. Located an hour from Los Cabos. Cabo Pulmo National Park is a tranquil untouched part of Baja two hours from Los Cabos.
Places to eat & drink in Los Cabos
Dining options in Los Cabos are incredible with so many renowned chefs opening restaurants. The best sushi in Los Cabos and my favorite spot is Nicksan. They have two locations and Chef owner Angel Carbajal has cooked for the biggest rock stars in the world and is a culinary legend himself. The most romantic dining spot with exceptional cuisine is Sunset Monalisa from Chef Hector Morales. The dinner here is an unforgettable experience. Our favorite Tacos in Los Cabos are La Lupita Taco & Mezcal. If you want to grab some margaritas and lunch with a poping scene the Office at the Beach is the most vibrant non hotel daytime party spot in all of Los Cabos. If you're looking for a place to eat with variety of options the El Merkado is a food hall that has everything from traditional mexican, seafood, pizza, beer and sushi. Located off highway 1 on the corridor.
