Things to do in Miami, Florida

Nightlife in Miami Florida

There are plenty of things to do and enjoy while in Miami for a Bachelorette party. So skip the touristy stuff and indulge in the best that this city offers.

Spa Day

Spend a day indulging in self-care and pampering. The Fontainebleau offers a full spa service menu and use of amenities. The Exhale Spa in the Loews is another excellent choice for a day of relaxation.

Shopping

The Brickell City Centre has high-end shops in a beautiful setting in the busy Brickell area of Miami. It is a fun way to spend the day shopping with the girls.

Experience Nightlife

The nightlife in Miami is world-renowned. Reserve a VIP bottle service table at LIV or STORY for a celebration. There are big-name DJs nightly or performances by famous musicians. You can also expect to see celebrities partying alongside you at either of these spots.

Day Pass at a Pool

Soak up the Miami sun! Many hotels offer passes for a day to use their pools and experience a day in the Miami heat. This is a great way to explore and experience another location than your hotel.

Drag Brunch

For a fun day out with the girls, try a drag brunch! Palace Bar on Ocean Drive is a classic and easy choice — expect brunch, drinks, and a show with performers, including the audience, as they sing classic songs everyone can sing along to.

Private Boat Rental

For an especially memorable day for the future bride, splurge on renting a private boat and tour the beautiful Miami waters. There are many options and price ranges available.

Beach

A Miami classic! The beaches are not to be missed in Miami. There are many options to rent a bed and umbrellas with beachside food and beverage service for the day or grab some towels and hit the public beach.

Ocean Drive

Ocean Drive is iconic and always lively. It is a tourist mainstay, and you can always find shops, food or even just a colorful people-watching scene.

Eat & drink in Miami, Florida

Food sign in Miami Florida

Papi Steak: Papi Steak is a showy steakhouse with a great menu and a fun, lively atmosphere. This spot gets crowded and is a Miami scene don't be surprised to see a celebrity or two at the table nearby. There are usually DJ's Friday/Saturday nights, making this an excellent spot for a pre-party dinner or even as the main event for a fun night out. Be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes for a table, but try to get a spot at the bar and do some people-watching!

Carbone Miami: A special occasion restaurant, this is the Miami outpost of the New York staple and is much more lively than the New York location. Beautiful space and a Miami scene. Don't be surprised to see celebrities at the tables nearby. There is indoor seating and a patio. If possible, I recommend sitting indoors to experience the atmosphere. The spicy rigatoni and the meatballs are worth it, but you can't go wrong – almost every dish is fantastic. If you happen to make a later reservation, they often play an excellent old-school hip-hop playlist.

Komodo: This Brickell destination by David Grutman is a large swanky Asian-themed restaurant. It sports a lively bar and a sprawling restaurant space. Expect a dressy Miami crowd and a see and be seen environment.

Front Porch Cafe: Delicious low-key spot for breakfast/brunch or even lunch on Ocean Drive. They have a great breakfast and a relaxed environment with a large covered patio and a big dining room and bar. They don't take reservations, and there is often a 20-30 minute wait at peak times.

GITANO: This Miami outpost of the Tulum-based restaurant serves upscale Mexican fare in a trendy boho-chic environment. There is an indoor dining room and a small rooftop complete with palm trees and a disco ball.

Kiki on the River: This Greek restaurant on the water has beautiful décor and celebratory energy. Come on the weekends during the day for a high-energy scene. Guests can come by boat and dock directly next to the restaurant.

Barton G: Expect a fun, trendy environment and tasty food, but the main attraction here is the presentation of the dishes. Every item and most drinks come with an over-the-top, Instagram-worthy presentation.

Bâoli: This Asian-American restaurant turns into a nightclub around 11 PM. Fun for a one-stop-shop to have dinner in a loud, lively atmosphere and then dance and drink when they clear the tables and turn up the music.
