Things to do in Sedona

A path through a lawn in front of tall mountains and trees

Cathedral Rock Trail - While this hike isn't very long, it's the scramble up the rocks that slows you down a bit. This is a moderate hike and for those who are a little fearful of hikes, it might not be the best option. This hike is kid-friendly for older kids. When you finally make it up to the top, there are breathtaking views of Sedona. This should take you a little over an hour.

If you plan on going Thursday through Sunday, you have to take the Sedona Shuttle to get to the closest trailhead. They run every 15 minutes and have free parking available. If you go any other day, you will need to purchase the Red Rocks pass to be able to park at the trailhead.

Devil's Bridge Trail - This was my favorite hike of my trip. If you are staying at Enchantment Resort - this is an easy drive to the trailhead. There is a decent amount of parking available. We came midday and it was pretty packed. This hike is about two and a half hours, its less of a scramble but does require you to use your arms and legs. Devil's Bridge is an Instagram hot spot, so get in line if you want a picture of you on the bridge. It definitely looks more narrow from afar.

Airport Mesa Trail - This is probably one of the easiest places to feel the energy, they have two parking areas close to the vista points.

Boynton Canyon Hike - If you are staying at Enchantment Resort, this is right near the hotel and is one of the largest vortexes.

Mystic Bazaar and Crystal Magic - Besides hiking for vortexes, Sedona is also known for its crystals shops, definitely come and check one of these shops to pick up some crystals or have an aura reading.

Mii Amo Spa - Just coming off its first anniversary of reopening after a $40 million renovation - this is the spot for a massage.

Star Gazing - When driving at night in Sedona, you will notice there are barely any street lights...it's because they do not want light pollution, they want you to be able to see the stars! If you stay at Enchantment Resort, they have Star Gazing sessions on Tuesdays and Saturdays. They will pick you up from your room in a golf cart and take you to the end of the property. They have high-powered telescopes to check out the planets and constellations.

Day trip

If you have another day or two, you might want to think about visiting the Grand Canyon, which is located about two and a half hours away.

Places to eat & drink in Sedona

A plate with two tamales

Tamaliza - Hands down one of the best tamales I have ever had. Get the Supreme tamales - which are topped with fresh spinach, salsa, guacamole, cheese, and beans. The masa is light, fluffy, and flavorful. This is a small family-run restaurant. Make a point to stop here for a quick, casual meal.

Mariposa - This is a beautiful, romantic restaurant by Chef Lisa Dahl (who also owns several restaurants in Sedona). The cuisine is Latin-inspired; the food is bold and delicious - highly recommend the yucca fries, grilled octopus, and cubano steak. Must make reservations.

Elote Cafe - Famous for its namesake- fire-roasted corn mixed with spicy mayo, lime, and cotija cheese., this restaurant is serving up some amazing southwestern & Mexican cuisine. Don't forget to get a tequila or mezcal tasting. Must make reservations.

Rene At Tlaquepaque - Nestled in Tlaquepaque – Arts & Shopping Village, this is a wonderful French Mediterranean restaurant. The food is flavorful and balanced - I highly recommend the Nicoise Salad, Rack of Lamb, and Braised short ribs. They also have a sweet patio for warmer weather which is also dog-friendly.

Hummingbird - This restaurant is located at Mii Amo, the food is fresh with hints of Asian flavors. We loved the seared ahi tuna, roasted carrot hummus, and roasted japanese sweet potatoes. If you are staying at Mii Amo, this is part of your all-inclusive package. Reservations are highly recommended.

Tii Gavo - If you are staying at Enchantment Resort, this is your spot for Breakfast and Lunch. The food is wonderful, I highly recommend the southwest breakfast burrito and if you happen to be there for lunch - Please get the succotash dip!

The Hideaway House - After a long hike, the Hideaway House is a must. This creekside institution is all views on the backside; this casual spot has some amazing pizzas - check out Kat's way for sure!

Vino Zona - Did you know that Arizona has wines?? This is the spot to taste some of Arizona's wineries.
