Things to do in Bali

Visit the beaches of Uluwatu:

Uluwatu is the ultimate paradise, located on the southwest end of Bali. Grab a Gojek or bike over to Padang Padang Beach, Nyang-nyang Beach, Dreamland Beach or Bingin Beach. Nunggalan Beach is an amazing option if you’re looking for an intermediate hike down to the water. Grab a fresh coconut or Bintang and spend the day relaxing in the warmth of these white sand beaches with turquoise waters.

Take surfing lessons in Uluwatu:

Baby Padang is a perfect wave for beginner and intermediate surfers. Grab a longboard at Padang Padang Beach or sign up for lessons!

Visit the Uluwatu Temple:

Watch the fire dance at sunset and explore the beauty of this historic landmark that sits on a beautiful clifftop.

Enjoy the nightlife scene:

Uluwatu - Hatch, El Kabron, Savaya, Single Fin and Ulu Cliffhouse are just a few of the many restaurants that turn into nightclubs after dark.

Canggu - Luigis, Old Man’s and Finns, are all popular places to party! Finish the night dancing on the beach at Sandbar.

Seminyak - Potato Head and La Favela are two incredibly popular nightclubs if you’re visiting Seminyak.

Relax at a beach club for the day:

- Sunday's Beach Club is a fan favorite if you’re near Uluwatu. This beach club begins with a cable car ride down to the sand! Grab a beach chair and lounge in the sun for the day!

- Cretya Ubud is another beach club that is highly recommended! Although it can be busy and harder to find a spot to sit, the view overlooking the rice terraces with the Alas Harum swings makes up for it! Take your pick of their many different pools and jacuzzis and enjoy everything this beach club has to offer. The earlier you arrive, the less crowded it will be!

- If you’re in Canggu, Finns Beach Club is known all over the world! A must-see before you leave.

Explore the markets of Canggu:

Canggu is a hotspot for incredible markets! Get some shopping done at the Love Anchor Market and the La Brisa Sunday Market.

Monkey forest in Ubud:

Don’t forget to visit the monkey forest while here in Bali! Make sure to leave all valuable items, sunglasses and hats back at your accommodation. Monkeys are sneaky and have even learned how to unzip bags!

Try Luwak coffee:

Go to a coffee plantation and try all different kinds of coffee and tea. The luwak is an animal that's droppings get turned into coffee as well!

Chase waterfalls:

Kanto Lampo is where you will get your iconic Balinese waterfall photo from the incredible local Balinese photographers. Goa Rang Reng is also a must-see with less crowds!

Mt. Batur sunrise hike:

Hike an active volcano in Ubud! Pickup is as early as 2 am, so be prepared with a good night of rest. After about two to three hours of hiking, you will reach the top just in time for sunrise. Take in the incredible views and enjoy breakfast above the clouds.

Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan Islands:

Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Ceningan are the two islands closest to the coast of Bali’s main island. They are connected to each other by a yellow bridge, which you can pass back and forth on via motorbike. These two islands are definitely more quiet and relaxing compared to the others, which makes for a perfect relaxing getaway! While on Nusa Lembongan, fuel your day by getting coffee at the Beach Cafe at Lago, or breakfast at The Deck, before heading to get a massage at Spring Spa. Relax at Dream Beach while enjoying the restaurant, pool and amenities of Dream Beach Huts. And stop by Devil’s Tears to take in the breathtaking tidepools and natural rock formations on the water. On the smaller island, Nusa Ceningan, enjoy the pool, restaurant and jaw-dropping view of the Blue Lagoon at Klyf Club. Sunset at Mahana Point is an absolute must and the perfect way to end the day above the water!

Nusa Penida Island:

Nusa Penida is just a quick 30-minute boat ride off the coast of Bali’s main island. Many iconic sites such as Kelinking Beach, Angel’s Billabong, Diamond Beach and Broken Beach are all able to be seen in one day! If you’re an avid hiker without a fear of heights, don’t miss out on Guyangan Waterfalls! This secluded hike leads you to the most beautiful natural pools tucked into the side of a clifftop overlooking the ocean. And if you’re confident on a motorbike, find your way down to Tembling Beach Natural Pool. These secluded sites are absolutely unforgettable. Snorkeling is also incredible on this island. Grab your gear and take a boat out to Manta Point for a chance to swim with beautiful Manta Rays.

Gili Islands:

The Gili Islands are a two-hour ferry ride away from the main island of Bali. You have the option of visiting Gili T, Gili Air or Gili Meno, however, the most popular island will have to be Gili T. There are no cars or motorbikes on this island, so rent a peddle bike and explore! Pearl Beach Lounge is an incredible place to relax right on the water. If you’re looking for some adventure, go snorkeling at Turtle Point or go free diving! End the night by watching the sunset at Pink Coco before catching a ferry back to the main island of Bali.

Swim with dolphins in Lovina:

If you find yourself on the northern end of Bali, catch a sunrise boat ride out to the ocean in Lovina. Your guides will give you the experience of a lifetime swimming among pods of dolphins. While you’re up there, stop at Aling Aling Waterfall. Enjoy the stunning views and challenge yourself at the three different cliff jumping sites if you’re looking for a thrill!
