Things to do in Turks and Caicos

Boats

  • Atabeyra: Sign up with them for a sunset sail on Friday nights. Rum punch is available on board (included in your ticket price) but you can also bring your own beverages!

  • Panoply: A great option for deep sea fishing, this luxury boat service can also take you snorkeling and island hopping.

  • Wake to Wake Watersports: Wakeboarding, water skiing, subwinging, tubing and more for groups of all ages! Take a lesson, explore or just enjoy the day on the water.

  • KiteProvo: Learn how to kiteboard with the number one kiteboarding school on Turks. Already know your way on a kiteboard? Rentals are also available. Don't forget to ask about their kayaks!

  • EvoJets: Rent a unique jet ski with EvoJets for either a half day or full day. Ask how to get to the shipwreck!

Snorkeling

  • Coral Gardens Resort: The beach in front of the resort is rated as one of the best places to snorkel without getting on a boat.

  • Smith's Reef: An isolated snorkeling option located a few miles away from Grace Bay Beach. It's a more rugged experience with choppier waves, but a good choice for those looking to get out of the main scene.

Nightlife

  • Fish Fry: A pop-up market every Thursday night with live performances, local items and food, bars and a DJ at night.

  • Aziza: A Middle Eastern restaurant that turns into a lively bar at night with fun music. Great for celebrity sightings!

  • Casablanca Casino: They have a shuttle available if needed, and they serve free drinks while you gamble. The Ritz-Carlton also has a casino if you are looking for an elevated experience, with 70 slot machines and 14 gaming tables.

Spas

  • Point Grace Resort: This resort offers a European-style Thalassotherapy spa for guests and the public within three beautiful white buildings just past the sand dunes. Each massage room offers an open-air environment with a view of the water, and you can expect nothing less than the highest quality products during your session.

  • The Palms Spa: Voted best spa in the Caribbean, the team at the Palms has created a meditative oasis. Your experience includes access to their lounge and spa amenities before and after your appointment, and the centralized location makes it easy to get to from wherever you are staying.

Day trips

Take a water taxi from Blue Haven Marina or hire a boat charter to an isolated island with pristine beaches, hiking trails and ocean cliffs. Mudjin Harbour is the highlight here, which is a three-mile stretch of beach and cliffs that is considered to be one of the finest coastlines in Turks & Caicos. We highly suggest renting a car or Jeep to fully explore the land. You can book your car in advance and pick it up once the ferry drops you off on the island. Accessible from Mudjin Harbour, the Crossing Place Trail is the most developed hiking trail, but it's easy to go off on an unchartered route through the coast and wetlands. Visit the Conch Bar Caves to view the limestone features and catch a glimpse of the bats that live there.

Places to eat & drink in Turks and Caicos

Grace Bay

  • Coco Bistro: White-tablecloth dining in an outdoor garden. Excellent service an atmosphere.

  • CocoVan: Casual dining right next to Coco Bistro. Old-school van that's been transformed to a food truck with plenty of outside seating. This is always a fan favorite!

  • Embers: Asian influence with Mediterranean flair. An all-around fantastic evening with an open kitchen and live music for constant entertainment.

  • Shay Café: A small eatery and coffee shop located on the main strip in Grace Bay.

  • Caicos Cafe: Upscale dinner experience with indoor or outdoor dining. The owner is originally from Italy and his food and wine menus reflect the wonderful cuisines that he grew up with.

Resorts

  • Infiniti Bar: Located at Grace Bay Club, this bar and restaurant has a stunning atmosphere with an excellent happy hour on Friday nights.

  • The Pelican Pool Bar at Royal West Indies Resort: BOGO happy hour 5–7 pm every day. One of the best deals on the island for drinks!

  • Seven at the Sevens Stars: An elegant, fine dining restaurant that embraces sustainable activities by growing their own microgreens and herbs on their roof. The bar is also a fabulous place for cocktails as they serve a fun menu of bar bites to go along with your drink.

  • Somewhere Cafe: Located at Coral Gardens Resort, this is a great casual lunch spot with snorkeling area out front at Coral Gardens if you have the time for a swim.

  • The Pink Bar: Located at Wymara Resort, this lively poolside bar is recognized as a premier hidden gem of Turks and Caicos. Frozen cocktails, TVs playing sporting games and music to keep the vibes going all day and night.

Other parts of the island

  • Noah's Ark: A unique floating bar next to Half Moon Bay lagoon. You dock your boat or jet ski at the bar and hang out all day with locals and tourists alike and enjoy the views of Princess Alexandra National Park. Post up in the sandbar or jive to the DJ on the dance floor from 10 am until sunset. No boat, no problem! Noah's Ark organizes a daily ferry service near the Blue Haven Marina.

  • Da Conch Shack: The menu here is heavily influenced by the local cuisine, conch, as well as a range of local and imported fish. This beachfront restaurant tends to get a lot of press, and it's worth the hype! Make sure to check for their live music lineup in the evenings.

  • Omar's Beach Hut: Another beachfront property, Omar's serves local favorites as well as any catch that's brought in that day. So if you've been on a fishing charter, you can request what was caught as your meal! This casual restaurant is located on Five Cays Beach.
