Visit Downtown Moab

Downtown Moab, Utah, is a vibrant hub of excitement waiting to be explored. We highly recommend immersing yourself in the local culture by indulging in the delicious fare at the charming restaurants, picking up unique souvenirs at places like Moab Made and gearing up for thrilling outdoor adventures at outfitters nearby. For the adventurers at heart, consider renting ATVs and embarking on an adrenaline-packed journey through Moab's stunning landscapes. And after a day filled with exploration, don't miss the opportunity to unwind at the backyard theater, where you can catch a show beneath the Utah night sky.

Lions Park

Take the kids to climb boulders and let dad embrace his inner rock-climber at this large space dedicated to scale, padded ground all around for safety. This is a great stop near the Colorado River to have a picnic or bathroom break, and for the whole family to burn some energy.

Mill Canyon Dinosaur Tracks

An easy 1.8-mile out-and-back trail get cozy with the state's prehistoric history with a VIP ticket to one of North America's most colossal and diverse dinosaur track havens! See fossilized footprints and bones of many species. Also check out the life-size creatures at the Moab Giants Dinosaur Museum in town if dinos are of your fancy.

  • Dead Horse Point State Park: desert canyon landscapes and miles of trails.

Easy Family “Hikes”

Devil’s Garden: 2–8 miles round trip, the largest concentration of natural arches in the world. See Crypto Biotic Crust.

Hidden Valley Trail: 4 miles round trip with steep switchbacks towards the end, see blooming cacti and red rock cliffs.

Balanced Rock: 0.3 miles EASY paved loop. See a giant boulder balancing on a pinnacle.

Double Arch: 0.5 EASY, walk under two huge arches in a row.

Sand Dune Arch: 0.5 miles, sandbox and rock scrambling.

Water Life

Colorado River: Paddleboard, raft, or kayak and see petroglyphs on the rocks and petrified trees only to be seen from the river. Take a break and swim at the special beaches to be found along the way and jump off rocks into the water as well.

Jailhouse Cafe: A cozy spot to grab soul food breakfast on the patio. Highly recommend the chorizo scramble and fresh orange juice.

Sabaku Sushi: Sushi with a southwestern twist, vegan and gluten-free options and amazing cocktails and Japanese beer.
