Curator’s statement
Thinking of heading to the Capital City of Country Music? Nashville, TN offers so much to do for all ages to explore what this city has to offer. Of course, for me, it’s the country music genre that attracts me to this city. I have experienced this city on multiple occasions over the years. I recently did a multi-city tour in my Class A motorhome instead of the traditional ways that I travel via airline and hotel. Take a look at my other travel guides that I did on this tour.
I am familiar with each of these city stops and was able to take a tour of the beautiful hotels below or have stayed in previous trips. Most importantly, finding places that I thoroughly enjoyed eating out and visiting entertainment venues to offer you a well-rounded experience.
This two-and-a-half-week motorhome tour included the following: Tampa, Nashville, Little Rock and Dallas before heading back to my home city of Houston!

Things to do in Nashville
Grand Ole Opry: I am sure you don’t need an explanation as to why this is a favorite or even a suggestion for Nashville. If you are reading this travel guide, then I am sure you have this venue on your short list. A place with so much history, introducing so many legends into the Country Music business. They say, when you walk on this stage to perform, then you have made it in the business! They haven’t invited me yet to join on stage, so I guess I will continue to just write these guides for you until then! Trust me that I am a better planner of vacations than a singer!
Lower Broadway: If you like to head out for the night on the town, then head over to Lower Broadway. Here you will find the Honkey Tonks with live bands and entertainment. The streets are lit up with neon lights, with rows of music and great restaurants. For sure, a place if you are looking to experience the night life.
Country Music Hall of Fame: If you are wanting to learn the history of country music, then this is the place that you should visit.
Places to eat & drink in Nashville
The Loveless Cafe: Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bring your appetite if you are wanting a favorite in southern cooking with a country twist.
Luke Bryan: A traditional bar with live country music. I always enjoy going here, where the drinks are good, and everyone is friendly.
Kid Rock: This is a lively bar, just as its namesake. The band is raised from the crowd and the talent is always spot on.
Scoreboard: Located near the Grand Ole Opry. I really liked this restaurant/bar's atmosphere. The menu is American cuisine with live music while you dine. Check their live music schedule online!
