It's an ideal spot for those looking to unwind, offering peaceful beaches and secluded spots where you can relax without the crowds. Visiting Anguilla offers a unique blend of benefits that cater to various interests, whether you're looking for relaxation, cultural immersion or adventure.
Anguilla is famous for its 33 pristine beaches, with crystal clear waters and soft white sands, offering excellent snorkeling and a chance to relax in a postcard-perfect setting. But there is so much more to the island than just its pristine beaches. Despite its small size, Anguilla has a rich cultural heritage, with music, art and festivals playing an integral part of island life. For those seeking adventure, Anguilla offers a wide range of water sports and activities, from snorkeling and scuba diving in its clear blue waters to sailing and fishing, so there’s plenty to keep active travelers entertained. The island also offers stunning natural landscapes and wildlife. From birdwatching in the wetlands to exploring hidden coves and caves, nature lovers will find plenty to explore.

Things to do in Anguilla
Beaches:
Little Bay: Little Bay is encased by high rocky cliffs, creating a secluded and tranquil environment. The clear, turquoise waters and pristine sandy beach are quintessentially Caribbean, but it's the cove's isolation and natural beauty that make it truly unique. The bay's clear waters are ideal for snorkeling, with a variety of marine life visible just a short swim from shore. The most common way to reach Little Bay is by boat, with local operators offering short trips from nearby areas. For the more adventurous, there’s a rope attached to the cliffs above Little Bay that allows for a steep but thrilling descent to the beach. This route is not recommended for everyone and should be attempted only by those in good physical condition and with appropriate caution. There are no facilities at Little Bay, so it’s wise to bring water, snacks, sunscreen and any other necessities. Also, bringing your snorkeling gear is a must if you plan to explore the underwater world.
The pool and beach club at the Four Seasons Resort Anguilla encapsulates the essence of luxury Caribbean vacationing, offering guests a blend of relaxation, recreation and impeccable service amid the breathtaking beauty of Anguilla's shores. One of the highlights is the Sunset Pool, an adult-only infinity pool that offers breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, especially as the sun dips below the horizon. It's a favorite spot for guests looking to unwind in a serene, adults-only environment. The resort boasts direct access to some of Anguilla's most beautiful beaches, including Meads Bay and Barnes Bay. These beaches are known for their crystal-clear waters, soft white sands and the tranquil ambiance that makes Anguilla a sought-after destination. Guests at the beach club can enjoy comfortable beach chairs, umbrellas and dedicated service for food and drink orders right on the sand.
Savi Beach Club is situated on one of Anguilla's stunning beaches, Meads Bay, offering guests direct access to soft white sands and crystal-clear waters. The club provides all the amenities needed for a comfortable day at the beach, including stylish and comfortable lounge chairs, umbrellas for shade and towel service. No beach club experience is complete without a selection of refreshing beverages and cocktails, and Savi Beach Club delivers on this front. The bar offers a range of drinks, from classic cocktails and signature creations to soft drinks and freshly squeezed juices, perfect for sipping while lounging by the sea. This beach club is also known for hosting events and providing entertainment, ranging from live music and DJ sets to themed parties and special dinners.
Boating and Sailing:
Take a journey around Anguilla’s shores or venture to nearby secluded isles like Sandy Island and Prickly Pear with a chartered sail or a private boat excursion. These are my two favorite charter companies, which provide different kinds of boating options, from half-day to full-day adventures of snorkeling, island hopping or sunset excursions: Tradition Sailing Anguilla, Captain Jo Boat Charter, and Calypso Charters Anguilla.
Wellness and Leisure:
Spa Experiences: Elevate your relaxation with a visit to one of Anguilla’s opulent spas, like Venus Spa or the Spa at Four Seasons Resort, offering a range of pampering services.
Yoga and Wellness: Participate in a session of beach yoga or a wellness retreat to refresh both your mind and spirit in the picturesque setting of Anguilla.
Outdoor Adventure
Trekking and Cycling: Explore Anguilla’s diverse terrain and historical sites by foot or bike. The Heritage Trail is a great way to learn about the island’s natural and historical landmarks.
MOKE: Renting a Moke in Anguilla offers a unique and fun way to explore the island's stunning landscapes, pristine beaches and charming locales. A Moke is essentially a compact, open-top vehicle that’s perfect for the Caribbean's sunny weather and relaxed pace of life. It combines the openness of a beach buggy with the practicality of a small car, making it ideal for breezy drives along the coast or through the scenic interior of Anguilla.
Horseback Riding: Take a 1.5-3-hour guided tour of the island’s best beaches and interior landscapes on horseback, Seaside Stables Anguilla.
