Curator’s statement
London has quickly become one of my favorite cities to visit and each time I visit, there are so many new places to explore. The architecture is beautiful, and whether you're having afternoon tea or visiting an art gallery, you can't help but feel immersed in British culture (and just a little bit fancy!). A captivating mix of old and new, London is also renowned for its creativity, innovation and originality in art, theater, music, design and cuisine. It is home to countless art galleries and museums, and what lies beyond the city makes this a great hub/base to explore other parts of the England countryside from!

Things to do in London
Sky Garden
Talk about views for days! This place was breathtaking and gave me such a great view of London from all angles. Inside was just as pretty too, with tons of photo-worthy moments.
They have a bar inside and a few restaurants, but I’d highly recommend securing a ticket early. It’s free, but popular and depending on the day and time you might not get in as a walk up.
Also, they offer sunrise yoga, so if you're looking for a morning workout with a view, this is where to be!
Victoria and Albert Museum
My love affair with V&A began when I wanted to see the Dior exhibit and couldn’t get tickets, so I became a member of the museum. I’m a bit biased because I’m always obsessed with their fashion exhibits but I’ve never regretted membership there and renewed on my last trip to catch the Fabergé and Fashioning
Maison Assouline
You know all the chic coffee table books that make a room feel perfectly styled? Well, Assouline is likely responsible for them, so a visit to their flagship store is a must.
I also made a reservation at their Swan Bar inside, too, for a quick cocktail.
FaceGym
A girlfriend visited FaceGym in Los Angeles and told me I had to get to one, so when I found out they started in London, I knew I needed to visit a location here.
It was quite the experience filled with a facial massage that I never knew could feel so good and concoctions to hydrate and replenish your skin. It’s pretty addictive, so just be ready to take home some products with you when you’re finished.
Tate Modern
If you're a modern art lover, you have to make time in your trip for a visit here. Admission is free, but some exhibits do require tickets.
London Bridge & Tower of London
The best way to experience the beauty of the architecture of the London Bridge and Tower of London is through a walk across the bridge. It's totally free and we timed our walk to coincide with the lifting of the drawbridge for a cooler experience.
Day trips
There are a ton of day trip options from London, but if I had to pick just one I'd recommend a day trip to The Newt in Somerset. This is really a great way to see the best of the British countryside and its charming traditions in a VIP kind of way.
The Great Garden Escape is a bit pricy, but includes first class train travel, guided tours, a cider tasting and breakfast/lunch/afternoon tea.
Places to eat & drink in London
Cakes & Bubbles: I’m a Veuve Clicquot kind of girl so when I saw that one of my hotels (Hotel Cafe Royal) had this Veuve Clicquot café, I knew I had to try it.
The food was great and while I didn’t try any desert, they all looked ravishing (and far too pretty to eat!).
Madera at Treehouse London: This place is so cool and has a total vibe. It’s located at the top of the Treehouse hotel and carries its hotel vibe all the way through here. I asked for an Instagram-worthy view in my reservation notes and got a window table that didn’t disappoint.
It’s Mexican cuisine and the food was so good, I ate here twice.
The Lost Alpaca: This is a cool, underground vibe right in the middle of Covent Garden. It’s restaurant, Floral by LIMA, is all the range, but this bar below it is a gem too.
All of their cocktails are designed to play up your senses and they use a variety of unconventional things to get you there.
Ting Restaurant at The Shard: I might be stating the obvious but afternoon tea is totally a thing in London. There are hundreds of options to choose from, but if you want tea with a breathtaking view — this is the tea service for you.
Their presentation is everything and you’re so high up that the view is still gorgeous on a cloudy day.
Lyaness: If you’re looking for posh, chic and sexy — this will be your happy place. It’s got a good water view and is housed inside the Sea Container hotel.
The cocktails here are extremely unique too.
Berners Tavern: Whether it’s cocktails or dinner, do yourself a favor and stop by. It’s housed inside the London Edition and it is beautiful. Photos won’t do it justice, so just do me a favor and go see for yourself.
100 Wardour St: With every trip, this place is becoming a staple. The music, energy and food are all on point and it makes me feel like I’m back in New York.
If a quiet night's dinner is what you want, this might not be your cup of tea. But if you want a lively dinner that makes you feel all the fun, add this one to your list.
The Alchemist: Imagine if a scientist crafted your cocktails, and then threw in a sleek bar design and sexy music and you’ve arrived at The Alchemist.
Make sure you get a drink with one of their magic symbols, by it — fire, ice, and any other element you can think of is up for grabs as they craft works of art for you to drink.
