A building in Doha
Curator’s statement

Qatar may best be known as a World Cup host site. Many passengers on Qatar Airways pass through Doha every day on their way to Africa or Asia, but very few stay for an overnight layover. You can have a unique experience by just staying one night before heading on to your final destination. Doha is HOT, so the city is best experienced at night!

Things to do in Qatar

Water and the bridge

City Tour with a private driver is a great way to get around during the heat of the day—you will learn about the city, see some incredible art and architecture and get to know a local by having a private driver.

National Museum is not only amazing architecture but also has very cool exhibits—this will be a great inside stop after wandering around outside a little bit.

Islamic Art Museum has an incredible collection of art and artifacts with a very cool spot to take a coffee or bite to eat that has a super view.

Spa day at a luxury hotel - this can be a great way to beat the heat when temps are soaring and you're looking to relax between flights.

Shopping- Luxury shopping at the Villagio Mall and The City Center Mall has an indoor Inflatapark for kids who need to get the wiggles out.

Night Market at the Souk for culture, food, and shopping—this is THE place to be when the sun goes down. The buzz of family life and market life make for a great way to people watch and dine outdoors.

Day Trips:

If you have the extra time to add on a half day trip, you should consider a guided ATV or Jeep tour in the desert.

Places to eat & drink in Qatar

Souk market at night

The best places to eat are outdoors at the Souk or in a hotel restaurant! One thing you absolutely need to order is the mint lemonade. It is so delicious and refreshing and you will want one every single hour on the hour.
