Curator’s statement

Disneyland has always been a piece of my heart. I was lucky enough to grow up visiting Disneyland yearly, and that evolved into me going as an adult. I have amazing memories of the magic that Disneyland has to offer, and I still feel that way as an adult. I went to Disneyland and California Adventure Park for my honeymoon with my husband. I still plan to go there each year. From dressing up at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique to cocktails at Lamplight Lounge, Disneyland has something to offer for every person at your party!

  • Disneyland and California Adventure Park are not your average theme parks. They offer a wide range of experiences beyond just thrill rides. There's something for everyone to enjoy, from watching shows to talking to characters, and visiting attractions based on your favorite movies.

  • Attention all Marvel fans! California Adventure Park is the ultimate destination for you. The Avengers Campus is a must-visit. It has fun attractions, exciting shows that tell interesting stories and character meet and greets that are unique.

  • Attention all rebels! If you're looking for an out-of-this-world experience, head to Batuu in Disneyland. This immersive world will take you to a galaxy far, far away where you will join the resistance and fight Kylo Ren and the First Order. And if you're looking for more adventure, you can even pilot the iconic Millennium Falcon and lead your crew to safety. May the force be with you!

  • Calling all princesses and princes! A visit to Disneyland is a must for you. Head to the Sleeping Beauty Castle and transform into royalty at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Then, take a magical ride on a pirate ship powered by pixie dust on Peter Pan! Keep your eyes peeled, as you may even catch a glimpse of Tinker Bell. Get ready for a fairytale adventure like no other!

  • If you're looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the park, Disneyland has got you covered. Take a seat in one of the air-conditioned theaters on iconic Main Street and enjoy one of the many shows. For a truly inspiring experience, don't miss Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. Listen to the former President's speech about his relationship with Frederick Douglas and be transported back in time. It's the perfect way to cool off and relax on a hot summer day.

  • Enjoy Disney's night shows at Disneyland and California Adventure Park. Watch your favorite characters and stories come to life through projections, music and fireworks. Feel the magic and create unforgettable memories with your loved ones!

  • Don't let the thought of planning your Disneyland trip stress you out. With the Disneyland app, everything is at your fingertips. From booking lightning lanes to mobile-ordering food, checking wait times and meeting characters, this app has it all. Learn how to use it and make the most of your time at Disneyland.

Day Trips:

Visit Laguna Beach!

Escape the hustle and bustle of Disneyland and take a 30-minute drive to Laguna Beach. Enjoy a leisurely walk along the Main Beach, play some beach volleyball or simply take in the sights and smells of the Pacific Ocean. Afterward, head across the street into downtown Laguna Beach and dine and shop at local businesses.

Disneyland and California Adventure Park offer a wide range of food and drink services to satisfy your cravings. Whether you're looking for a quick snack or a formal sit-down restaurant, Disneyland has got you covered with options that cater to every taste and budget. Enjoy delicious food and drinks while exploring the parks!

Must-try snacks: These are offered at walk-up kiosks or carts throughout the park.

  • Churro: These sweet treats are a must-try for anyone visiting the park. Enjoy the crispy exterior and soft, warm interior of the churros while exploring the park!

  • Dole Whip: The classic pineapple dole whip is offered in Adventureland as a soft-serve or a float with pineapple juice. Don't forget to stop by Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room while you enjoy your treat!

  • Chocolate chip cookies: Indulge in the freshly baked chocolate chip cookies at Harbor Galley, located across from the Haunted Mansion. These cookies are a perfect treat for anyone with a sweet tooth. Pair them with cold milk and enjoy the deliciousness!

Must try quick-service locations: These are offered through mobile-order on the Disneyland app or walk up and order.

  • Bengal Barbecue: Enjoy freshly grilled meats and veggies in Adventureland! Pair your skewers with rice and make it a plate for a satisfying meal. Don't miss out on the Safari Banyan Beef Skewers, which are my favorite options. Enjoy the mouth-watering flavors and then ride on the world-famous Jungle Cruise!

  • Tiana's Palace: Make sure to try one of the newer quick-service restaurants at Disneyland and indulge in some delicious food. Order the Shrimp n' Grits or Classic Gumbo with cornbread on the side for a satisfying meal. Don't forget to treat yourself to the famous Mickey-shaped beignets at Mint Julep Bar.

  • Pym Test Kitchen: Step into the world of Avengers Campus and indulge in some delicious food at Pym Test Kitchen. This restaurant has many options to satisfy any taste, from big pretzels to large chicken patties with small buns, and big taco salads. After your meal, hop on Guardians of the Galaxy and help Rocket save the day.

Sit-down dining and character dining: These restaurants are in Disneyland, California Adventure Park and the Disney hotels on the property. You can make reservations 60 days in advance!

  • Blue Bayou Restaurant: This iconic restaurant sits inside of the Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride at Disneyland. Enjoy upscale dining while watching boats float by in a dark and unique atmosphere. Blue Bayou offers a one-of-a-kind experience that you won't find anywhere else.

  • Lamplight Lounge: Dine and drink while you enjoy views of Pixar Pier and the water of World of Color. This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating as well as brunch, lunch and dinner! If your reservation is at the right time, you may even be able to watch World of Color while you eat.

  • Goofy's Kitchen: You don't even need a park reservation to enjoy this exclusive character dining experience! You can enjoy breakfast or dinner at the Disneyland Hotel and meet all of your favorite characters!
