  • Jewelry: For a custom charm bracelet, head to Cecchi Carlo Di Giuliano Ricchi across the river. Marlù Store Firenze is another excellent option. Be prepared for possible waits, as both are popular.

  • Gucci: Experience the stunning Gucci store and museum, where you can explore the brand’s rich history.

  • Officina Profumo - Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella: Visit this beautiful perfume store with a wide range of options and picturesque showroom.

  • Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio: Discover this local pharmacy, famous for its exceptional skincare products.

Places to eat & drink in Florence, Italy

Where to eat:

  • Acqua Al 2: A fantastic dinner spot - don’t miss the balsamic steak!

  • All’Antico Vinaio: The famous sandwich shop, famous for its paninis and often featuring long lines, is definitely worth the wait! If you’re traveling by train you can visit their location at the Santa Maria Novella train station. Arrive early to grab a sandwich for your journey. I particularly enjoy their truffle focused menu items!

  • Caffè Gilli: A charming spot to sit and enjoy your morning cappuccino while people watching in the Piazza della Repubblica.

  • Gustapizza: Offers some of the best pizza in Florence. I highly recommend the pesto topped with fresh burrata.

  • I' Girone De' Ghiotti: Known for its incredible sandwiches - everything on the menu is a great choice. Be sure to try the Chianti wine mixed with Fanta; it is surprisingly good!

  • La Giostra: A beautiful restaurant for a more elegant meal. Some must try dishes are the pear ravioli and Florentine steak.

  • La Ménagère: A cute place to grab a cappuccino and croissant.

  • Mercato Centrale: The bottom floor features a bustling grocery market showcasing local food products. The top floor is a food hall with various stands catering to all tastes.

  • Osteria Santo Spirito: My FAVORITE restaurant in Florence! Be sure to try the truffle gnocchi and bruschetta appetizer! They offer half sized portions of certain dishes, you can sample a variety of pastas!

  • Pino's Sandwiches - Salumeria Verdi: The BEST panini shop run by the nicest family! Every sandwich on the menu is delicious! Also, try the limoncello spritz!

  • Trattoria 13 Gobbi: Known for its exceptional rigatoni served in a soup bowl - a must try dish!

  • Trattoria Zà Zà: Famous for its truffle dishes, anything on the menu featuring truffle is a must try!

Gelato is a must in Florence! Here are my top three recommendations:

  • Gelateria dei Neri

  • La Carraia

  • Vivoli: For a special treat, try their Affogato!

Where to drink and go out:

  • Babae: Experience the charm of enjoying Italian wine at this street side wine window.

  • Divina Terrazza Rooftop Bar: An ideal spot to grab a drink with stunning views of the Duomo while sipping on a Hugo Spritz.

  • Lion's Fountain: A lively Irish pub perfect for enjoying drinks and having a fun night out!

  • Rasputin : Experience a speakeasy ambiance with expertly crafted cocktails at this hidden gem in Florence.

  • Red Garter: The best spot in the city for karaoke enthusiasts booking to sing their hearts out!

  • Space Club: For a vibrant club scene and dancing until the early hours, this is the place to be!

  • View on Art Rooftop Cocktail Bar: A fantastic spot for afternoon drinks with stunning views of the Duomo and a classic Aperol Spritz.

  • Yab: A excellent club in Florence, ideal for dancing the night away.
