Curator’s statement

I have always loved Walt Disney World since my first visit at five years old, but taking my oldest son for the first time turned me into a full blown Disney adult. There is something so special about seeing the magic in your children's eyes. It makes me want to help everyone I know have their very own magical vacation.

Day 1: Animal Kingdom

We arrived at Orlando International Airport (MCO) bright and early, opting for the convenience of a car service for transportation (I can assist you with that). One of the perks of using a car service is the assurance of having someone waiting for you, eliminating the hassle of dealing with Ubers, taxis, or rental cars. Setting up car seats for the comfort and safety of both us and our children was a breeze.

We were taken directly to our hotel the Polynesian Resort, and upon arrival, we entrusted our luggage to the bellhop. Once we received our stroller delivery, which we had arranged in advance, we took a bus directly to our first park—Disney’s Animal Kingdom. This park, a favorite for when we don’t have a full day, tends to be less crowded than others, making it easy to explore everything it has to offer.
Our day at Animal Kingdom included a quick-service lunch at Satu’li Canteen, followed by rides and attractions until our dinner reservations at Tusker House Restaurant, which includes meeting our favorite characters which is always a highlight. The rides we particularly at Animal Kingdom, included Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest, Kilimanjaro Safaris, Dinosaur, and Na'vi River Journey
Afterward, we returned to our room to check in and freshen up before heading to Magic Kingdom. With park hopper tickets in hand, we seized the opportunity to experience a few rides and enjoy the fireworks at this iconic park.

Day 2: Magic Kingdom

On the second day of our trip, we began with a quick-service breakfast at Capt. Cook's in the Polynesian, followed by a monorail journey to the Magic Kingdom. The day kicked off with the enchanting "Let the Magic Begin" opening show by Disney. Our adventures took us through Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, where we spent the morning enjoying beloved attractions like Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, Tomorrowland Speedway, Peter Pan’s Flight, Mad Tea Party, and more. Then we headed to the Contemporary Resort to go to lunch at Chef Mickey’s. It is an amazing character meal where we all got to meet and take pictures with our favorite characters.

We took the monorail back to the hotel for a refreshing nap and some pool time- I highly recommended afternoon break to rejuvenate and extend the enjoyment for both kids and tired adults. Around 5 p.m., we returned to the park via monorail just in time for Disney's Adventure Cavalcade. Another pitstop at Casey's Corner for a quick bite preceded our venture into Adventureland, where we experienced Pirates of the Caribbean, Aladdin's Magic Carpet, Jungle Cruise and more.

As evening approached, we hurried back to the castle to witness the spectacular fireworks. Post-fireworks, Fantasyland beckoned again for a revisit to some of our favorite rides. Taking advantage of shorter lines later in the evening, we managed to squeeze in a few more rides before the park closed. I highly recommend this if everyone isn’t too tired. Waiting a bit for transportation back to the hotel makes things a bit easier too, adding a smooth conclusion to our magical day at the Magic Kingdom.

Day 3: Hollywood Studios

On day three, we opted for a cozy breakfast in our room, made possible by grocery delivery services that will deliver to resort guests. Once fueled up, we hopped on a bus from our resort and made our way to Hollywood Studios. Our first stop was Toy Story Land, where we indulged in riding all our favorite attractions, including the thrilling Slinky Dog Dash, and had delightful encounters with beloved characters.

Next, we ventured into the captivating realm of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Stepping into this section of the park truly transports you to another universe, regardless of whether you're a Star Wars aficionado. Amidst exhilarating rides and memorable character encounters, the ambiance alone is worth the visit.

To recharge and cool off, we settled into the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular—a welcome opportunity to rest our feet and enjoy a captivating show. Sensing my son's fatigue and hunger, I escorted him back to the hotel for some rest and swimming, while my husband, a devoted Star Wars enthusiast, continued exploring Galaxy's Edge.

Embracing the flexibility of group dynamics, we recognized the value in occasionally pursuing different interests, ensuring everyone's contentment. Upon my husband's return, we made a brief return to the Magic Kingdom for a couple of hours before winding down at the Polynesian, where we savored the fireworks spectacle from the tranquil beach—a serene alternative to the bustling heart of the Magic Kingdom.

Day 4: Epcot

On day four, we embarked on a monorail journey to Epcot, eager to explore its wonders. Our day commenced at The Seas with Nemo and Friends, an expansive attraction offering a plethora of captivating experiences under one roof. The abundance of marine life is a treat, especially for those with a fondness for animals.

Next, we dashed over to France for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, immersing ourselves in the charm of the beloved film. Returning to World Nature land, we rendezvoused with family and embarked on the exhilarating Soarin' Around the World—an awe-inspiring experience that may test the nerves of those afraid of heights.

Our lunch reservation at Coral Reef Restaurant proved to be a culinary highlight, offering delectable dishes alongside captivating views of the aquarium. We leisurely strolled through the World Showcase, savoring the diverse offerings of Epcot.

Returning to the hotel for our customary afternoon nap and pool time, we relished the tranquility of the day. As evening descended, we bid farewell to the iconic castle at Magic Kingdom, indulging in one last whirlwind of our favorite rides—a fitting conclusion to our magical journey.

Day 5: Disney Springs

Our final day, day five, unfolded with a leisurely start, as our flight wasn't scheduled until later in the day. We savored the opportunity to sleep in a bit and pack our belongings at a relaxed pace. Once packed, we checked out of our resort and entrusted our luggage to the capable hands of bell service.

Boarding the bus bound for Disney Springs, we seized the chance to soak in the last moments of our Disney adventure. Our son delighted in exploring The Lego Store and Build-a-Bear, while we savored a tranquil lunch at Wolf Gang Puck Bar and Grill, reflecting on our unforgettable journey.

Returning to the Polynesian, we retrieved our luggage and rendezvoused with our car service, bound for the airport. As we bid farewell to the enchanting world of Disney, our hearts brimmed with cherished memories of a magical vacation.
