Curator’s statement

Charleston was the perfect destination for a 3-night girls trip. It reminded me of a tropical New Orleans, steeped in history with palm trees, cheddar biscuits, chic shopping and rooftop bars. We ate and drank our way through the city and I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Things to do in Charleston

A full bar with a sign that says "Bar Felix"

King Street

You can easily spend an entire day strolling and shopping.

Joe Riley Waterfront Park

Get a pic near the pineapple fountain and walk along the water's edge. We spotted dolphins swimming here.

Washington Square

A short walk from the water front park and a beautiful oak-lined green space

Day trip to Sullivan's Island

This is a must, will provide additional details in the day trip area

Rooftop Bar hop

There are so many rooftop bars in Charleston, I'd suggest weaving them into every night out.

The Spa at Charleston Place

Spa services plus a great pool to hang out at and mimosas.

Day Trips

Sullivan's Island is a must-do and I loved it so much I would've stayed the night.
Poe's Tavern - fun/historic spot to grab a drink.
Obstinate Daughter - best meal we had in Charleston.

Places to eat & drink in Charleston

Two women walking down a boardwalk through a grassy area.

Grand Bohemian Hotel Rooftop

Great cocktails and lounge seating overlooking the city.

Frannie and the Fox

For a casual courtyard dinner with a great outdoor fireplace and tasty pizza

Millers All Day

Brunch and biscuits. If you need to know more than that - a killer bloody mary.

Fig

An incredibly elegant and refined dinner with a great wine list

The Tempest

Sit at the bar and get an old-fashioned. The vibe is cool and pictures there are fun. Its building is full of character, originally the Church of the Redeemer Chapel and the Harriott Pinckney Home for Seamen.

Felix

Adorable brunch, with an abundance of mimosas. The eggs benny are incredible and the french cafe vibe is darling.

El Matador

Another great rooftop bar with views of King Street

Camellia's

Perfect for a pink girls Instagram pic

Rooftop Bar at the Vendue

Add it to the rooftop hopping list.
