Day 1: Arrival in Bora Bora
Morning/Afternoon: Arrive at Fa'a'ā International Airport in Tahiti, then take a short flight to Bora Bora (approximately 50 minutes). Upon arrival, you'll be greeted with a traditional Polynesian flower lei and escorted to your luxurious overwater bungalow at your chosen resort, such as The St. Regis Bora Bora Resort or Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora.
Evening: Unwind with a relaxing private beach dinner under the stars. Your resort can arrange a candlelit dinner on the beach for you, where you can enjoy delicious Polynesian dishes while listening to the gentle sound of the waves.
Day 2: Lagoon exploration and snorkeling
Morning: Start your day with a private lagoon tour. Explore Bora Bora’s stunning turquoise waters on a boat cruise, where you’ll stop at various spots to snorkel among vibrant coral reefs and swim with rays, sharks and tropical fish. Many resorts offer private boat charters that allow you to see the island from a unique perspective.
Afternoon: After your tour, enjoy a leisurely lunch at your resort’s restaurant. Try fresh seafood or a traditional Polynesian dish like poisson cru, a marinated fish salad.
Evening: Spend the evening enjoying your resort’s amenities — whether it's an in-room spa treatment, a relaxing sunset cruise or a visit to the resort’s bar for cocktails while watching the breathtaking sunset.
Day 3: Private island picnic and spa
Morning: Head out for a private picnic on a secluded island. Many resorts in Bora Bora offer exclusive trips to nearby private islands where you can enjoy a gourmet picnic prepared by the resort’s chef. The surrounding nature offers an ideal romantic backdrop.
Afternoon: Return to the resort and pamper yourselves with a couples’ spa treatment. Book a traditional Polynesian massage or a luxurious facial at the resort’s spa to relax and rejuvenate.
Evening: For dinner, try a fine-dining restaurant offering both French and Polynesian cuisine. Options include Lagoon by Jean-Georges or Bloody Mary's — both known for their fresh seafood and beautiful views.
Day 4: Adventure and exploration
Morning: If you're seeking more adventure, opt for a jet ski tour around the island or a mountain safari tour. You’ll explore Bora Bora’s lush hills and enjoy stunning panoramic views from the island’s peaks. These tours often end with a visit to ancient marae (sacred Polynesian sites) or lush valleys.
Afternoon: Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at your resort’s beach or lagoon. You can rent a paddleboard or kayak, or simply relax by the water.
Evening: Enjoy a Polynesian dinner and dance show at your resort. Many resorts offer cultural performances with traditional dance, music and local delicacies, making for a fun and festive way to end the day.
Day 5: Last day of romance and departure
Morning: Start your final day with a peaceful sunrise yoga session on the beach, offered by many resorts. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your overwater bungalow or at the resort’s breakfast buffet.
Midday: Before you depart, you can do some last-minute shopping for souvenirs in Vaitape, the main village on the island. Pick up some local handicrafts or Tahitian vanilla products.
Afternoon: Head to the airport for your flight back to Tahiti and onward to your next destination.
