Day 1: Lima

Arrive in Lima.

Day 2: Cusco

Go to the airport for the 1 hr flight to Cusco. On your first day, take it easy after you check-in in your hotel. Try to limit yourself to short walks, light meals and coca tea to help you acclimatize to the altitude.

Day 3: Cusco

Begin your day with a private guided tour of Cusco to learn about its many wonders and history. Stroll along charming alleys and up and down its cobblestone streets, which reflect the age of the town. Tour Cusco’s magnificent cathedral and wander through the Plaza de Arms, visit “Qoricancha”, the temple of the sun, which was converted to a monastery centuries later during the Spaniard years. After the tour, enjoy lunch on your own at a local restaurant. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure at your own pace and remember to take it easy and keep hydrated. Pack to leave next morning.

Day 4: Sacred Valley

Start a full day tour of the Sacred Valley. It will be a day of culture, art, crafts, textiles, mining, technology and wildlife. You will be able to touch and see the traditions from clothing to lifestyle. Explore the Maras Salt Mine, walk the concentric circle terraces of Moray, recognized as the microclimate experiment land, visit the Pisac market and Chinchero where the local weavers will show how they create the intricate and colorful patterns. Spend the night in Urubamba.

Day 5: Aguas Calientes

You will enjoy a free morning. Around noon, head down to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. After you check-in at your hotel, you will visit a butterfly farm. This enclosed space is populated with host plants and other typical ecosystems on which the butterflies depend to complete their life cycle. It's like a big garden where butterflies fly freely; it will be a unique experience. Dinner on your own.

Days 6-7: Machu Picchu & Free Day

Day 6
This is our Machu Picchu day! Wake up early for a memorable walk through the “Lost City of the Incas” before the crowds hit the grounds. Let yourself be swept away by the magical landscape that surrounds this important ruin. Time is limited and visitors must follow the tour in one direction. Take your time and explore the area you walk by, marvel at its amazing ruins and terraces - truly an incredible example of Inca engineering skills together with its photogenic alpacas. All of this against the stunning backdrop of Huayna Picchu Mountain. After walking the trails, ride the bus back to Aguas Calientes to pick up your personal belongings and get ready to ride the train back to Cusco.

Day 7
Free day

Days 8-9: Puno, Uros & Lake Titicaca

Day 8
We will say goodbye to Cusco and travel aboard the beautiful luxury PeruRail train from Cusco to Puno. It will be a delightful ride in a panoramic car traveling through mountain landscapes. Enjoy Peruvian cuisine with ingredients from the Andes, as well as other entertainment. Upon arrival, you will go to your hotel in Puno with a view of Lake Titicaca.

Day 9
You will take a boat tour to visit Uros, one of the many islands on Lake Titicaca. This lake is the highest navigable lake in the world, sitting at 12,500 ft or 3,810 meters above sea level in the Andes Mountains of South America. This excursion will allow you to explore the regional culture and natural beauty. You will see how indigenous people maintain their traditions, build their homes, furniture and their way of life, which will leave you perplexed.

Days 10-11: Arequipa

Day 10
Travel by bus to Arequipa. The journey will take 5 hours in complete comfort. Be ready to enjoy amazing scenery from lakes, herds of llama, alpaca and vicuña along the way. Enjoy the diverse topography while traveling, including desert and rocks at different altitudes. Check in to your hotel and have a relaxed evening.

Day 11
Be ready for a city tour of Arequipa, nicknamed the “white city” for a reason. All the buildings are made of a white sillar volcanic rock. You will learn about the main sites, take a break for lunch and in the afternoon, you will visit the Santa Catalina de Siena Monastery. Be ready to be surprised as this place will leave you speechless.

Days 12-15: Lima

Day 12
Travel by plane to Lima.

Day 13
Around mid morning, you will go on a bus tour to explore the Miraflores district. You will have the afternoon to go shopping or just relax.

Day 14
On this day, you will embark on a tour of Lima’s colonial sites. This tour will be a combination of bus and some walking. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant where you can share and highlight your main experiences.

Day 15
Return home.
