Paddle on the French Broad River with Headwaters Outfitters: Paddle eight miles down one of the oldest rivers in the world. Experience calm moving water while seeing wildlife such as bald eagles, great blue herons and otters. Headwaters will outfit you for all necessary gear and knowledge as well as a taproom to visit after your river adventures.

Explore Pisgah National Forest: With hundreds of hiking trails to choose from, Pisgah National Forest is located 10 minutes away. There are tons of hiking trails for all ages and experience. In the summertime, enjoy sliding down a large natural water slide over at Sliding Rock. If you love the thrill of adventure, seek out some zip-lining or climbing to see the Western mountains from a different perspective.

Downtown Brevard: Explore downtown with many small local businesses to fulfill your shopping needs. They have wonderful nice and family-friendly restaurants and quick bites around town.

Listen to live music: Check out surrounding breweries, such as places in Brevard and Asheville, to see what music is playing. Usually, venues fill up so be sure to get your tickets before!

Biltmore: Take a tour of the Biltmore estate, a historical place that has a garden to view and 250 rooms inside.

Gordingos: Great tacos located at Ecusta Brewery. They serve nachos, wings and so much more. They are always adding specials and new things to the menu.

Bohemian Restaurant: If you enjoy a nicer restaurant, the Bohemian Restaurant prepares fresh dishes every day with high rates for their customer service. In the summertime, you can enjoy sitting outside with a nice cocktail.

Sierra Nevada: Sierra Nevada is a must-go if you enjoy good brews. Their property includes a backyard with a garden, outdoor games and a live music venue. You can also tour inside to see how their beer is made.

Sora: Enjoy some wide selections of sushi at Sora in Brevard. If you enjoy some good Japanese food, this is where locals will point you to!
