Things to do in Punta Mita

Golf course with palm trees and beachfront in Punta Mita.

Take a Trip to Marietas Islands

Take a boat tour to Marietas Islands located in the Bay of Banderas and swim to the hidden beach Playa del Amor. It is truly one of the most unique experiences.

Lounge at one of the amazing private beach clubs

Punta Mita has so many wonderful beaches and many feel empty and secluded! The beach clubs all have great locations, lounge chairs, swimming pools and dining facilities. My two favorite are The Pacifico Beach Club which overlooks the famed Tail of the Whale ocean hole. And The Kapuri Beach club which located on Litibu Bay and offers an array of activities from paddle boarding to sailing.

Golf

By staying at the Four Seasons or St. Regis, guests have access to play at the prestigious Punta Mita Golf Club, with two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses and the one-of-a-kind Tail of the Whale island green (yes, the hole is on an island!)

Take a day trip to Sayulita

Venture 30 minutes north to the coastal town of Sayulita, known for great surfing and casual beach vibes.

Stroll around Punta de Mita Village & Marina

There are many cute boutiques, stores and restaurants to check out.

Learn to surf at Playa La Lancha beach

The waves are easy here and the water is clam making it an ideal place to learn to surf.

Relax

Enjoy the various pools and beaches at the Four Seasons or St. Regis. The Four Seasons has two secluded beaches and an Instagram=worthy infinity style pool overlooking the Pacific Ocean! Make sure you check out the lazy river at the Four Seasons and float for a couple of hours.

Places to eat & drink in Punta Mita

A Mexican restaurants with tasteful design, wooden chair and ocean views.

Mina - Fresh and delicious Mexican food right on the beach. Excellent service and a fun vibe. One of my favorites.

Dos Catrinas - The Four Season's primary restaurant combines authentic Mexican with a contemporary twist. The best mixologists in Mexico serve up craft cocktails that up to a memorable dining experience. Sunset views are spectacular!

The Salad Shake - Located right on the beach, this is a healthy lunchtime option. Customize your own salad or wrap and enjoy right from your lounge chair.

Tacos & Papas - The best tacos! It is a small little restaurant tucked away in downtown Punta Mita. Eat in or great for take out and so reasonable. Order a variety and share. All the tacos are amazing and make sure to order the stuffed potatoes.

Mita Mary Boat Club at the St Regis - If you want your feet in the sand, a beautiful sunset, fun music and fresh seafood, this is the place.
