Curator’s statement
Resort Spas in Arizona are an experience. These are my recommendations for making the best of your spa day! First, Check the specials. Some spas will offer massage and facial combos and will include lunch or a glass of wine or sparkling. Second, Choose your service. I recommend checking out the signature service. Spas will do their best to provide a unique experience, from wraps, massages, facials, hydrotherapy treatments or combos. Third, Check the fitness schedule. Spas offer a variety of activities. You can partake in things from hikes, rock climbing, aerial yoga, surf core classes to wellness classes, meditation and cleansing rituals. The most important thing is to arrive early. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your class to get your locker and get settled. Enjoy your fitness/ or wellness experience. Get yourself settled near the pool, order a glass of wine or signature cocktail and lunch. Experience all the spa has to offer, meditation, cool plunge, jacuzzi, pool, steam room. It's time for your treatment... 'Ahhh...' After your treatment, revisit your favorite therapy area or shower up and get ready for happy hour.

Best Spas in Arizona
Civana
Civana is a true wellness resort. Located in Carefree, Arizona, surrounded by the unique beauty of the Sonoran Desert. The entire resort is dedicated to wellness and tranquility. Your spa experience affords you access to over 70 fitness, wellness and personal growth opportunities. Beautiful, tranquil spaces will speak to your sense of call and reconnection. Civana boasts the only indoor hydrotherapy circuit treatment and 25-meter outdoor heated saltwater spa pool with stunning views of desert landscape and surrounding mountains. Have lunch in the tranquil lobby restaurant or the cafe-style at Seed cafe and market. Grab a drink or a snack poolside. Spend your time reconnecting with yourself or your companions in the Sonoran Desert.
What makes Civana stand out? Hydrotherapy and number and variety of classes and treatments.
The Spa at The Boulders
This expansive adults-only spa gives you access to 33,000 sq. ft of relax, invigorate and recovery spaces for you and your group. Start your day with a fitness class or take on the Boulder Climb with an expert guide. Take part in a “mind and body” special such as meditation, sound bowl and labyrinth walk with Tipi cleansing ritual. Relax and catch up with your friends at the expansive outdoor pool and jacuzzi that a mountain of boulders frames unlike anything you have ever seen. The scenery is enhanced with lush landscape and water features throughout. Visit the herb garden and enjoy the cafe with a glass of bubbly or your favorite cocktail. Await your treatment in the tea room with a perfectly framed view of the boulders and lush landscape or cozy up near the fireplace. Visit the Steam and Sauna and take some time to relax in the gender-specific relaxing quiet rooms before heading to the main resort for Dinner.
What Makes the Boulders stand out? The aesthetic of the outdoor space. You will never see scenery like this.
J.W. Marriott Desert Ridge ‘Revive Spa
From Yoga, Cycling, bootcamp to foam rolling, meditation or high-intensity cardio, the fitness center at the Revive spa has it all. Take some laps in the adults-only pool lined with cabanas and palm trees. Grab a beverage and relax in the outdoor Jacuzzi. Enjoy the indoor steam, sauna and whirlpool and then head upstairs to the relaxing area to await your treatment near the cozy fireplace with a cup of tea. Before you leave don't forget to grab lunch or a snack at the spa cafe or better yet, order something poolside. Love the hummus and the wine list here. Once you feel relaxed and rejuvenated, head over to one of the outdoor firepits at the main resort and have dinner at the award-winning Tia Carmen or enjoy eclectic asian cuisine at Kembara. Excellent restaurants
What makes Revive stand out? Relaxed atmosphere at the outdoor adults-only pool and jacuzzi. Great food, drink and service enjoying the resort and dining experiences.
Scottsdale Princess Well and Being
This 44,000 sq-ft spa space is great for a girlfriends getaway or romance with couples massages and plenty of co-ed areas.
Start your day by visiting the complementary snack, coffee bar. Here you will find muffins, cookies and trail mix to fuel your day. Check into the locker room and join a fitness class. My favorite is aerial yoga. Stop by the Eucalyptus inhalation room, the swiss shower and don't forget the cold plunge. Head outside for the grotto waterfall treatment inspired by Havasupai Falls in the Grand Canyon. Your back will thank you. Upstairs you will find a rooftop pool with amazing service and menu to enjoy for lunch, while catching up with friends or reading a book. Spend the afternoon sipping wine and floating in the pool before your treatment. You can't go wrong with any of the treatments. I believe it's one of the best facials I have experienced with attention to your scalp and a bonus foot rub.
Pro tip... Spa within the Spa for those in the know. Sisley-Paris Spa offers an elevated sense of spa luxury. Sisley-Paris is known for its unparalleled excellence in skincare with six exclusive treatment rooms and access to elevated amenities. Isn't it time to treat yourself?
What makes Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Spa stand out? Waterfall treatment, rooftop pool, great service and luxury spa within a spa
