Day 3: Milford Sound Day Trip

A panoramic view of the lake and the mountains under the blue sky.

Start your day early with a scenic flight from Queenstown to Milford Sound. This flight is an adventure in itself, offering aerial views of the dramatic landscapes of Fiordland National Park. You'll fly over vast mountain ranges, pristine lakes and dense rainforests before descending into Milford Sound. Upon landing in Milford Sound, aboard a cruise that takes you through the fiord. This is a chance to see the stunning scenery from sea level, including towering cliffs, majestic waterfalls and potentially wildlife like seals, dolphins and penguins.

Day 4: Thrill-Seekers Unite

The image depicts an outdoor scene on a mountain: a person riding a luge down a winding track, while another person zip-lines above. The surroundings include grassy areas, rugged terrain, and mountains under a partly cloudy sky.

For the thrill-seeking couple, Queenstown is the perfect place to venture into adventure sports. Options include bungy jumping from the Kawarau Bridge, the birthplace of bungy jumping, skydiving or paragliding for an adrenaline rush. Alternatively, explore the rivers on a thrilling jet boat ride. Choose your adventure and share an exhilarating experience with your partner.

Day 5: Wine Tour in Central Otago

A picture of the entrance of a winery complete with a white archway nestled into a mountain with a wooden gate during daytime.

This area is renowned for its Pinot Noir, but you'll also find excellent Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc. Here are some specific wineries that promise not only great wine but also beautiful settings and unique experiences:

Amisfield Winery & Bistro

A Feast for the Senses (and Your Instagram)

Hop over to Amisfield Winery, a hop and a skip from Queenstown. It's where the building is as pretty as a picture and the "Trust the Chef" menu makes choosing your own adventure look so last year. It's perfect for foodies who love a surprise and couples who can't agree on what to order. Plus, the wine? Divine. You'll be swirling, sniffing and sipping like you were born with a silver tasting spoon in your mouth.

Gibbston Valley Winery: Caves, Vines, and Fine Times

Welcome to the 'Valley of the Vines', where Gibbston Valley Winery invites you into a cave – no spelunking gear required. Here, the wine flows like an underground river of joy, and the resident sommelier might just be a wizard. After all, they transform humble grapes into liquid gold. It's old-school winemaking with a side of cool cave vibes.

Peregrine Wines

Not just a winery, but an architectural triumph that birds probably try to nest in. Here, they're all about that green life, turning grapes into award-winning wines without ruffling Mother Nature's feathers. Whether you're a tree-hugger or just a lover of a good drop, their eco-friendly ethos and top-shelf tipples will have you coming back for more.

Chard Farm: Rivers, Wines and Views to Dine For

Chard Farm is where scenery and Chardonnay meet for a high-five. The trek to the winery is half the fun, with views that'll have your camera working overtime. Settle in for a Pinot with a view, and watch the river do its thing. It's so pretty you might just want to dip your toes in – but maybe stick to dipping bread in olive oil instead.

Day 6: Spa Day and Queenstown Gardens

A far view of the city near the seashore with people walking around at nighttime.

Dedicate this day to relaxation. Book a couples' spa treatment, taking advantage of Queenstown's luxurious spa facilities. After pampering yourselves, take a leisurely walk through the Queenstown Gardens. In the evening, explore Queenstown's vibrant dining scene, with options ranging from fine dining to casual eateries.

Day 7: Leisure and Departure

Spend your last day in Queenstown at leisure. Take this opportunity to explore local shops, visit art galleries or simply enjoy a coffee at a lakeside café, reflecting on the wonderful experiences shared. As your honeymoon in Queenstown comes to an end, you'll depart with cherished memories and a promise to return to this enchanting place.
