Day 1: Welcome to Park City!
Welcome to Park City!
You're likely arriving at the Salt Lake City airport, a short 45-minute drive from downtown Park City. Once settled, it's time for skiers and snowboarders to pick up their gear for the next day. I would recommend Park City Sport - they were extremely accommodating and will valet your skis and poles overnight.
Before dinner, take some time to explore Main Street and scope out any stores, galleries or coffee shops to hit the next day. Grab dinner at the No Name Saloon - one of the most popular bars in the area, who also serve great food!
Day 2: Skiing or Snowboarding
On day number two, get up bright and early for your first day of skiing or snowboarding! In order to get on the slopes at Park City, you must have an Epic Pass. There are a large variety of greens, blues and blacks for all skill levels.
If you're a beginner, I would highly recommend a lesson with Park City Ski & Snowboard School. Our instructor, Danny, was extremely knowledgeable and made the lesson fun.
For Aprés Ski, go to Pig Pen Saloon, a ski-in restaurant on the mountain with great drinks and snacks.
Any non-skiers can enjoy the shops on Main Street for any souvenirs, art galleries or clothing shops. There's even a hat shop, Burns Cowboy Shop, that will shape your custom cowboy hat in front of you.
After a quick shower (and if you're anything like me, a nap) it's off to dinner. Tonight you'll go to Baan Thai for some amazing Thai food. I ate one of the best green curries I've ever had here!
Day 3: Snowmobiling Trip
For a break to rest any sore muscles from skiing or snowboarding, go on a snowmobiling trip! Backcountry Snowmobiling is about an hour from Park City's Main Street. If you don't want to rent a car for this trip, the company can get you in contact with a driver - it's important to note that Uber will not drive that far into the country to take you back to Park City! Pro tip: You can let Park City Sports know and return your gear for the day to save a few dollars.
My group did the three-hour trip, which worked well for beginners. We thought it was a good amount of time for how long it took us to get there. We thoroughly enjoyed learning how to use the snowmobile and got to see some amazing views from the top of the mountain. The land Backcountry uses are all private ranches leased out for these trips, so it is a very quiet trip besides your group!
Tonight, enjoy dinner at Yuki Yama Sushi. They have some of the freshest sushi I've had and is a fun experience to share with your group! Post-dinner, head down the street to High West Distillery for whiskey tasting or some fun cocktails then rest up for another day on the slopes tomorrow!
Day 4: Back to the Mountain
It's back to the mountains for day four! Start your day with a delicious coffee from Atticus Coffee. This coffee shop has an expansive menu of coffee and teas, and there's often a long line for people to get their coffee fix!
Try some new runs for your second day of skiing or snowboarding. Then splurge on the Aprés Lounge at Montage Deer Valley for your post-skiing drinks.
For non-skiers, enjoy a spa day at Align Spa. Relax and unwind with massages, facials or any number of treatments.
Dinner and drinks tonight are at the Spur Bar and Grill. They also have live music on two different floors for you to enjoy and dance the night away.
Day 5: Final Ski Day
Grab coffee at Atticus, Lucky Ones Coffee or Pink Elephant to start your day off right.
Day five is your last day to put your boots on and head out to ski or snowboard on the mountain. Once you've gotten your fill, hit the Aprés at Collie's on Main Street.
Non-skiers can enjoy a day of snow tubing! Woodward Park City allows for fun in the snow for all ages and is a great family-friendly activity for anyone who doesn't feel up to ski runs on the mountain.
For this evening, you're going to have a true culinary experience at Firewood. While definitely a splurge meal, it's well worth it. Everyone in my group was beyond happy with their meals and their wine selection.
Day 6: Brunching and Shopping
Head to brunch at Harvest for a hearty meal that caters to all diets.
Enjoy any shopping you didn't previously get to and secure some last-minute souvenirs! Or explore the Utah Olympic Park for a guided tour to see the museum, or try bobsledding!
For your last night, eat dinner at Tupelo, where they create globally inspired food focused on local and supplied ingredients.
Hit the bars on Main Street to celebrate an awesome trip or hit the hay early after a long week!
Day 7: Head Back to Salt Lake City
Head back to Salt Lake City to catch your flight home!
