Curator’s statement
The Cove at the Atlantis is a wonderful hotel with world-class restaurants, pools, activities and more. Located on Paradise Island in Nassau, The Cove is an approximate 30-minute drive from Lynden Pindling International Airport (an airport with many non-stop flights from the United States). From its private beach to its adult-only pool to its luxe all-suite accommodations, the Cove at the Atlantis is truly paradise. This is my favorite resort in the world.

Things to do in The Cove at the Atlantis

The Cove, one of the five hotels at the Atlantis, has countless activities available to its guests.
For beach-goers, soak up the sun at the Cove Beach, a gorgeous stretch of sand along the Bahamian crystal clear blue water that is exclusive to guests of the Cove and the Reef (an apartment-style hotel at the Atlantis). Consider renting a cabana by the Cove Beach for an added luxurious perk.
The Cove has no shortage of pool access. Guests of the Cove that are 18+ can relax by its adults-only pool that's equipped with daybeds, outdoor gambling, and an afternoon DJ. The Cove is also located steps away from the Atlantis' world-renowned Aquaventure — a 141-acre water park with numerous slides (many spotlight its impressive marine habitat — including an enclosed slide that goes through a tank of sharks!), pools, a lazy river and more.
One of my few "must do's" at the Atlantis is spending time exploring its vast marine life. The Atlantis meticulously upkeeps its vast marine habitats throughout the resort property to provide its guests with close encounters with sharks, sting rays, fish, turtles and more. It is truly incredible to see these creatures in the well-maintained environment the Atlantis has built for them. You can also get up and personal with dolphins in the Atlantis' Dolphin Cay!
Notably, the Atlantis recently renovated its world-class casino (located in Atlantis' iconic Royal) and is a fantastic nighttime spot. The casino has endless table games, slot machines and a sizable sportsbook.
For those seeking ultimate relaxation, consider spending a day at the Mandara Spa. Conveniently located close to the Cove, the Mandara Spa offers treatments such as facials, massages, body wraps and more. If you are looking to get your sweat on, the spa also provides access to a full gym, tennis courts and lap pool.
If you are still looking for other things to do, the Atlantis has incredible shopping located throughout the hotels and in its lovely Marina Village.
Places to eat & drink in The Cove at the Atlantis

There are so many delicious restaurants, bars and cafes located at the Atlantis.
Breakfast: Grab a light bite at Plato's (located in the Royal). Have a sit-down diner meal at Murray's Deli (located in the Marina Village). Or indulge in a full breakfast buffet at Poseidon's Table (also located in the Royal).
Lunch: I always recommend grabbing lunch at Frezca, a lunch spot located at the Cove's adults only pool. Frezca has plenty of healthy, delicious food options like poke bowls, salads and fish tacos. You can enjoy your meal by the pool or in their outdoor, oceanfront dining area. If you'd rather grab something more casual, Pita (located next to the Cove) serves great Mediterranean food. There is also a Shake Shack (located near the Royal) that has its traditional menu with a few Bahamian twists.
Dinner: It's hard to go wrong with dinner at the Atlantis. Notably, the Cove is home to two incredible celebrity chef restaurants. Fish by Jose Andres is a must-try. From the complimentary cheddar biscuits to the delectable vermicelli mac and cheese, to the countless fresh fish options (the mahi mahi is my favorite). This is my favorite restaurant at the Atlantis. Paranza by Michael White recently opened at the Cove. While I have not had the opportunity to try it yet, its elevated Italian cuisine has been getting rave reviews. I also recommend dinner at Nobu (located by the casino in the Royal) and Sip Sip (casual bites in the Marina Village).
Bars: Seaglass is a swanky bar located near the Cove's lobby that often has live music at night. The Dilly Club (located in the Marina Village) is an adorable new cocktail lounge that also serves as a coffee shop during the day. Aura Nightclub is fun if you are looking for more of a club, late-night scene. I personally enjoy grabbing a cocktail at one of the casino's lively bars — the Moon Bar or Bar Sol.
Additionally, for guests of the Cove staying at the Lapis Club, you gain access to morning breakfast, afternoon snacks, evening cocktails and desserts in the Club. It is a wonderful concierge lounge that is worth the added price.
