During the Day:

By The Wine – José Maria da Fonseca: A flagship store featuring a bar with an extensive selection of wines, including labels that are produced in very small quantities and are difficult to find elsewhere.

Time Out Market: You have probably heard of Time Out as they have them all over the world but it is an excellent food market with a ton of options and worth checking out in Lisbon. It is a great casual spot to have lunch in between museums or walking around the city!

Café A Brasileira (The Brazilian Lady Cafe): one of the oldest and most famous cafés in Lisbon, grab a coffee or read a book here and enjoy people watching.

Passdese Belem: Try their famous Lisbon pastries!

Take a ride on Tram-28: This enjoyable tram route passes through many of Lisbon’s finest districts, including Baixa, Graça, Alfama and Estrela. Not to mention that the street cars are a fun and easy to ride and an easy tour of the city!

Lisbon Beaches: best best is near Costa de Caparica and it’s called “Fonte de Telha” it’s very quiet and will practically be your own private beach

Torre de Belem - 16th century tower on the water…construction started in 1515! Definitely worth going inside.

Praça do Comércio: The iconic yellow square and famous plaza overlooking the water, many open air cafes for enjoying the sites and views of the water and people.

Castle of St. George: One of Lisbon's most famous landmarks, dating back to the sixth century.

Day trip in Sintra: Beautiful historic town with breathtaking views of pastel-colored villas and palaces (Castle of moors , Pena Palace Quinta) Take the train from Lisbon to Sintra (it’s 39-minute ride, 5€ round trip)

At Night:

Café Luso: This historic cafe has been around since the 1700s, and you can listen to live fado sessions that run from 8 p.m. until 2 a.m. nightly, with small breaks so you can socialize with locals and other tourists, order more wine, and explore the space.

Red Frog: A world famous drink spot located in the heart of Lisbon that’s inspired by the New York prohibition-era speakeasies. Ring the bell to get in and pro-tip read the “house rules” on the door before entering.

Casa Independente: A lively drinking hotspot located in an apartment with an outdoor terrace. This is a trendy spot that attracts a young & stylish crowd for cocktails & live music.

Park Bar: A rooftop bar located on top of a parking garage. This is a super trendy drinking spot with great views of the city.

Pink Street: The iconic Lisbon street that is literally pink. This street is lined with bars and clubs and great for hopping around.

Places to eat & drink in Lisbon

A dining area inside a restaurant

Fauna & Flora: Amazing açaí bowls, toasts, pancakes (a must) at an affordable price in an aesthetically pleasing plant store-front.

Yard of Greens: A variety of toasts, salads, grain bowls and smoothies with an option for outdoor patio seating.

Mesa de Frades: Order food in a restaurant built in a former chapel in Alfama, and more importantly listen to live Fado music.

Tagide Wine and Tapas Bar: World famous chef and cheap bottles of wine.

Palacio Chiado: A tribute to Portuguese and international cuisine that happens to serve the best truffle risotto of my life. In addition, the interior is very sophisticated and upscale so get ready to feel like royalty when you dine here.

Leonetta: Amazing Italian food comparable to Italy, aesthetic interior and a pleasant ambiance made for a great dining experience.

Insolito: Cool cocktails, modern small plates and great views of the city. Definitely more of a trendy spot!
