Mentiritas Blanca: A cozy breakfast café that offers sweet and savory bites, friendly service and a variety of some of the best-tasting Panamanian coffees.
Mercado De Marisco Cinta Costera: This bustling seafood market, located along the Cinta Costera waterfront, has a mix of seafood vendors, small eateries and various communal dining areas where hungry market-goers can enjoy all kinds of freshly prepared seafood: whole fried fish, fish tacos, ceviche and more!
Need to know
Panama City is generally safe, but like any large city, it’s important to stay alert and be aware of your surroundings.
Please remember to be polite during your stay. Panamanians are generally friendly and appreciate common courtesies and pleasantries.
Uber is a very inexpensive transportation option.
Be prepared for sudden rain showers. Panama has a tropical climate and can be hot and humid year-round with a rainy season from May to December. So, if you don’t like rain very much, choose your Panama travel dates thoughtfully.
Panama uses the US dollar as an official currency.
