Shopping:

Marsaxlokk Market: The seaside Marsaxlokk Market is packed with Maltese goods. You will find colorful clothes, bags and cultural attire. As you peruse through each stand, you'll be met with the fragrant smells of the spices, seafood and fresh produce that is sold there.

Chocolate district: If you need to satisfy a sweet tooth craving, the Chocolate District is a great place to visit. Here you will find luxurious and rich chocolates in various forms. You can even purchase some delicious chocolates to bring back home for your friends and family!

Tour:

Ggantija Archaeological Park: The Ggantija Archaeological Park is a self-guided tour of ancient ruins and temples that will leave you in awe. This Park is located on the island of Gozo, just a short boat ride away from the main island of Malta. The Ggantija temples are older than the pyramids in Egypt!

Blue Grotto boat tour: If a little ocean excursion is what you need, the Blue Grotto tours are a must! Tour guides will take you across the enchanting coast all the way to the crystal-clear aqua coves called the Blue Grotto. With the waters so clear, this is also a wonderful spot for snorkeling!

Mdina: For a more relaxed, laid-back experience, the Medieval city of Mdina is highly recommended. This ancient city is so well preserved, it's almost entirely in its original form and dates all the way back to 4,000 BC. Explore the cathedrals and ancient architecture and don’t forget to take photos!

Towns to visit:

Gozo Island (adventure, scuba, hiking, fishing villages etc): For a town with a little more activity and thrill, try Gozo island. Not only will you find the Ggantija Archaeological Park as mentioned above, but you will also experience beautiful hikes, scuba diving, family-friendly beaches, boat tours and delicious restaurants.

Theme Park:

Popeye Village: Popeye Village is a unique and once-in-a-lifetime experience perfect for the whole family. This theme park was the original set used to film the classic 1980s musical “Popeye”. There are plenty of attractions to keep you entertained, from a winery for the adults to an inflatable water obstacle course for the kids. And of course, there are plenty of food options to choose from on this adventure.

Museum:

Casa Rocca Piccola: The Casa Rocca Piccola is a stunning house museum found in Valletta, Malta. This house was lived in by nobles, and it gives an inside look into what the aristocracy looked like in Malta’s history. It is intriguing to unlock a piece of Malta’s past.

Day Trips:

Sliema: Located just 20 minutes from the airport in Valletta, this sweet town is perfect to explore for a day! For some retail therapy, try The Point shopping mall to find a new wardrobe or buy souvenirs. Saint John's Cathedral, the Parish Church of Sacro Cuor and Fort Tigne are all amazing spots for history and architecture. And if you want to experience the ocean, the Sliema boat and catamaran tours and lagoons are an ideal choice.
