Things to do on the French Riviera

Monaco
Oceanographic Museum of Monaco: A beautiful aquarium featuring sharks, sea turtles and a rainbow of colorful fish. Your kids will go wild for the touch tank, where they can get up close with sea creatures.
Changing of the guard at the Prince’s Palace: Step into a fairy tale at the royal palace! And don’t miss the daily changing of the guard at 11:55 am.
Larvotto Beach: A kid-friendly, sandy beach with calm waters. Keep in mind that most beaches in this area are rocky!
Antibes
Marineland Antibes: From splashy shows to hands-on experiences, your kids will love to meet dolphins, killer whales, sea lions and sharks.
Fort Carré: Pretend you’re a knight in shining armor or a damsel in distress as you explore this medieval fortress.
Cannes
Le Petit Train de Cannes: The perfect way to sightsee when you’ve got little legs in tow! This little train takes you around Cannes, learning all about the town without too much walking.
La Bocca Adventure Park: Kids (and parents, too!) can climb, zip-line and explore nature at this treetop ropes course that's ideal for adventurers ages five and up.
La Môme Plage: Whether you want to work on your tan, build sand castles, eat delicious food or go waterskiing, this beach club has it all!
Nice
La Promenade des Anglais: Rent a bike or scooter and ride along the stunning waterfront. Don’t forget to stop by Parc Phoenix, a huge botanical park where you can enter a butterfly house and meet flamingos and turtles.
Musée d’Histoire Naturelle: Dinosaur lovers, this one’s for you! This museum is filled with fossils and interactive exhibits.
Places to eat & drink on the French Riviera

The Grill at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc: This spot serves up a chic dining experience with a dash of Mediterranean magic and stunning views overlooking the ocean — definitely a bucket-list meal.
Mamo Michelangelo: Nestled in the streets of Antibes’ old city is this authentic Italian spot. You may even get lucky and spot a celebrity or two!
Cipriani: A stylish Italian restaurant located in Monaco. The vibe is lively, but relaxed, making it perfect for a family dinner.
Le Vesuvio: Located on the Croisette in Cannes, this spot is perfect for a casual and delicious meal with the family, with a warm and inviting ambiance.
Plage Keller: Picture fresh Mediterranean food served right by the water with your feet in the sand. With a menu that appeals to everyone, it’s an ideal spot for a family meal.
La Môme Cannes: For families who want to enjoy a meal with a side of excitement, La Môme offers Mediterranean food with French flair, along with a full-on celebration! Music, singing and dancing surround you as you are bound to be swept up by the festive energy that fills the air.
La Petite Maison de Nice: This spot is known for its authentic French cuisine, but it’s its live music that takes it to the next level. A live band goes table-to-table taking requests for songs and gets the party started.
Grand Marnier Crêperie: If you’re looking for a quick snack while walking around Juan les Pins (in Antibes), check out Grand Marnier. My personal favorite is nutella, strawberries and powdered sugar.
Need to know
Most dinner places require a certain dress code — for example, no sneakers for men. Be sure to check in advance!
Tipping at restaurants is not like it is in America. A couple extra Euros will do the trick!
The train system is easy, fast and stroller-friendly, making it simple to travel between these cities.
Don’t miss the local markets! At the Marché Provençal in Antibes, for example, you can pick up fresh produce, local cheeses and delicious pastries.
