Day 1: Arrive at the Victoria Falls & The Boma
You will experience the warmth of African hospitality with a traditional Zulu dance while exiting the airport. Check into your hotel and relax by the pool or grab lunch before your first evening out. In the evening, you’ll head to The Boma — Dinner & Drum Show for a legendary dining experience that offers a unique blend of local cuisine, vibrant entertainment and cultural immersion. Before dinner is over, you’ll be participating in the rhythmic drum show!
Day 2: Guided tour of Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side)
Tour one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, Victoria Falls. It’s known by locals as Mosi-oa-Tunya, which means "the Smoke that Thunders"! The tour normally lasts about 2.5 to 3 hours.
Next, you’ll have lunch at the Lookout Café. The Lookout Café offers some of the best food in Victoria Falls, as well as fantastic cocktails. It has a view of the Zambezi gorge, and the Victoria Falls bridge and spray from the Falls themselves in the distance.
Day 3: Chobe day trip
After transferring to Botswana, the rest of the morning will be spent game viewing on a Chobe River cruise. After the cruise, you will be taken to a hotel on the river bank for lunch. After lunch, you will board safari vehicles for an afternoon game drive in the Chobe National Park, where there is an abundance of wildlife. After the game drive, you will be transferred back to your hotel in Zimbabwe.
Day 4: Livingstone Island Tour and Devil Swim
This activity is a bit of an adrenaline rush! You’ll be transported to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls. The activity is broken into two sections. The Livingstone Island tour (which includes a meal or high tea) and a swim in the Devil’s Pool. The Devil’s Pool opens in August and closes around mid-January. No worries, the Angel's Pool opens in mid-to late July, and then again in January until March. This is also on the edge and a similar experience as the Devil’s Pool.
A five-minute boat ride speeds you through the current of the Zambezi River to the island. This is an exhilarating experience as you head towards the rising column of spray from the Victoria Falls.
The guides then take you on a tour of this small island, which has unique and magnificent views of the falls. If it’s a sunny day, the rainbows are just incredible. You then have an opportunity to swim in the Devil’s Pool or Angel’s Pool (Approximately 10mins) if you wish. This is not compulsory.
You’ll return to your hotel in Zimbabwe for relaxation or to explore the markets.
Day 5: Sunset & dinner cruise - Malachite
Enjoy your final memorable dinner at this luxurious floating restaurant, the “Malachite.”
The cruise will start with sparkling wine or cocktails (mocktails are also available). Sip them on the top deck and relax while you enjoy the sightings of hippos, crocodiles and various birdlife. It ends with a wonderful African sunset!
Once the sun has set, you will move down to the lower deck where a three-course dinner will be served. The exquisite cuisine prepared on board.
Cocktails and a full bar will be served throughout the entire cruise. This activity is a great way to unwind and enjoy your final evening in Victoria Falls!
Need to know
Please review visa requirements for Zimbabwe, Zambia and Botswana. See if you qualify for a KAZA UNIVISA. It costs approximately $50 and allows tourists to obtain one visa to visit both Zimbabwe and Zambia multiple times. Additionally, review Botswana’s entry regulations when traveling with a minor.
