Curator’s statement
Shhh… everyone always raves about Turks & Caicos having the best water in the Caribbean, but Anguilla is a hidden gem with even more beautiful beaches and fewer crowds. Getting there usually requires a quick transfer from St. Martin, but trust me, it’s absolutely worth it. It has stunning beaches, an elevated restaurant scene and the best people. Overall, Anguilla is such a special place to visit, and I cannot recommend it enough!

Things to do in Anguilla

Anguilla is definitely a place you go to relax, but there are also some super fun day trips and activities if you feel like mixing it up.
I highly recommend getting out on the water for a boat day. There are tons of options — private charters or shared excursions — and most can pick you up right from your hotel. If you can, choose an itinerary that stops at Little Bay. Besides being stunning, it’s home to an iconic cliff-jumping spot for anyone who’s into that. Another great boat stop is Sandy Island — a tiny sandbar in the middle of the Caribbean with a restaurant built right on it. It’s such a fun spot for lunch and drinks, surrounded by 360° turquoise water.
Beyond a boat day, I’d definitely suggest treating yourself to a spa day. If you’re coming to Anguilla, chances are you’re here to unwind -- so why not go all in with a massage? I love Spa Guerlain at Cap Juluca, but there are plenty of great options around the island or right at your hotel.
If you’re feeling a little more active, I really enjoyed renting bikes from our hotel and exploring nearby beaches or other resorts. Just check with your concierge first -- some of the roads can get busy, so they’ll help map out the best routes.
Many hotels also have tennis courts and offer lessons, which is such a great way to stay active without missing out on the island vibe.
And for any scuba divers out there -- Saba Island is about a 90-minute boat ride and has some of the best diving in the Caribbean. If you’re looking for something closer, Dog Island is another amazing spot, just 30 minutes away by boat.
All that said, I promise… no matter what activities you do, you’re going to want to spend most of your time just lounging on the beach -- because it’s that beautiful.
Places to eat & drink in Anguilla

Sharky’s: A local favorite that lives up to the hype. The restaurant is literally the chef’s home with outdoor patio seating. Amazing seafood — don’t miss it.
Sunset Lounge at the Four Seasons: A must-visit for sunset cocktails. The view, infinity pool and golden hour vibes are unmatched.
Blanchards Beach Shack (Mead’s Bay): Casual hut on the beach serving the best island bites — perfect for lunch or an afternoon snack. You’ll definitely want to come back.
Savi Beach Club (Mead’s Bay): Trendy, European beach club vibes with great music, sleek design and incredible sushi from their Japanese chef. Perfect if you want a lively night.
Uchu (Cap Juluca): Chic Mediterranean spot located at the Belmond Hotel with gorgeous design and beach views.
Epicurean Café (Mead’s Bay): A low-key breakfast option with super friendly owners. Great spot if you’re staying nearby and want something relaxed and local.
Sunshine Shack (Rendezvous Bay): Another hidden beach spot perfect for a low-key breakfast. Try the cheesy eggs and potatoes – so good.
Need to know
Anguilla is right next to St. Barths, which makes for a perfect day trip — or you can even split your stay between the two islands. St. Barths has a completely different vibe. It feels like the South of France in the Caribbean, with a lot more shopping and nightlife if you’re looking for that balance of energy.
