Things to do in Park City, Utah

  • Take a ski lesson: Whether it’s your first time on skis or you’re an intermediate looking to level-up, Park City Ski School should be your first stop. Build your confidence with guidance from some of the best instructors and start the rest of your trip off on the right foot.

  • Spend a day on the mountain: With Park City & The Canyons resorts merged into one, there is more than enough mountain to be enjoyed in one day. Start at either base and venture your way through easy greens, blue cruisers and breathtaking black runs.

  • Snowmobiling: For something different yet equally heart-pumping, check out Red Pine Adventures for Park City snowmobiling offered just outside of town. They even offer free pick-up and drop-off from the downtown area!

  • Hot springs: A short drive away you’ll find the Homestead Crater Hot Springs, allowing you to swim and soak in the natural, geothermal hot spring waters. Make sure you grab a reserved time slot online before you go.

  • Cross-country skiing: Park City offers miles of cross-country skiing trails, whether you’re looking for groomed trails or rustic trails in the mountains. First-timers can start with a lesson before venturing out to experience the trails on their own.

  • Main Street shopping: When you’ve had your fill of winter activities, head to Park City’s historic district for some shopping. From local finds to high-end favorites, this picturesque downtown has so much to offer. Grab a latte from Harvest Cafe to keep you warm!

Day trips:

Snowbird & Alta: Just under an hour from Park City, you'll find Snowbird and Alta Ski Resorts. Be sure to get an early start, as traffic into Little Cottonwood Canyon backs up quickly, especially on a bluebird day. Out at Snowbird and Alta you'll find steep peaks and incredible views, and enough runs to fill your day. Visit The Summit at Snowbird for some of the best on-mountain lunch views you'll find.
