Day 1: Arrival

  • Currituck Lighthouse: Start your weekend in Corolla at the Currituck Lighthouse (The lighthouse may be closed in the winter, as well as during extreme weather).

  • Wild Horse Tour in Corolla: Book a guided jeep tour on the beach to see the wild horses of Corolla (Corolla Wild Horse Tours is highly recommended).

  • Whalehead Club: Take a tour of the Whalehead Club, a restored historic home.

  • Dinner in Duck: Aqua Restaurant, Paper Canoe or Blue Point.

Day 2: Beach day

  • Jockey’s Ridge State Park: Start your day with a beautiful sunrise at Jockey’s Ridge State Park.

  • Breakfast at Morning View Coffee House.

  • Beach: Choose one of the famous beaches of the Outer Banks (Nags Head, Kill Devil Hills, Cape Hatteras National Seashore).

  • Jennette’s Pier: Perfect spot for fishing, or just enjoying stunning views of the coastline.

  • Dinner at the Captain’s Table

  • Bodie Island Lighthouse: Enjoy a picturesque sunset at the Bodie Island Lighthouse.

Day 3: Departure

  • Breakfast at Beachside Bistro

  • Wright Brothers Memorial: Enjoy your last day learning about the pioneering achievements of the Wright Brothers.

  • Elizabethan Gardens: Stroll the stunning gardens in Manteo.

  • Lunch in Manteo: Stripers Bar and Grille.

  • NC Aquarium on Roanoke Island: Enjoy some family fun admiring marine life at the aquarium.
