Torokko Saga Sta., is the perfect place to grab your lunch or a tea. You can find a variety of Japanese meals and desserts. It is exceptional to have your meal in a picturesque view.

On the way back to the city center, don't forget to stop by Ryoanji Temple which is famous for its rock garden. Who designed it or what it implies remains a mystery. It would be one of the reasons to attract visitors. Each visitor has a different interpretation.

Day 2: Exploring Higashiyama Area - Iconic Destinations You cannot Miss

Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha first-thing in the morning to avoid crowds. Inari shrines are the most familiar shrines to the Japanese. It is said that there are some 30,000 Inari shrines throughout the county. Fushimi Inari Taisha is the head shrine among them. The most famous feature of this shrine is definitely vermillion red torii gateways, so called "Senbon Torii". Worships have donated torii gates to express prayers and appreciations.

If you have enough time, you can also enjoy the loop trail to the top of Inariyama, a 233m-high holy mountain.

After visiting the shrine, fill your stomach with Inarizushi, vinegared rice wrapped in deep-fried curd, at Nezameya. They have been operating since 1540.

Kiyomizudera Temple is your next destination. The view from the main hall provides stunning landscape in perfect harmony with the ancient city. The wooden structure was reconstructed in 1633. Strolling Ninenzaka street, a cobbled, quaint street, to Kodaiji Temple. You can find street foods, lovely souvenir shops or some artisanal works.

KYOTO BISTRO at Park Hyatt Kyoto is a casual Italian restaurant with an open kitchen. Enjoy your Kyoto night in a chill vibe.
Grab another glass at K36 at the Hotel Seiryu. The rooftop bar with 360-degree panoramic views makes the night a memorable one.

Day3: Too Good Deal to be Real. Osaka Amazing Pass

Tombori River Cruise in the city

You can't start your trip without Osaka Amazing Pass. It provides an unlimited use of trains and busses in the applicable area and free admission to about 40 popular facilities. You can also receive discounts at other sightseeing spots, shops and restaurants.

To make the most of its benefit, let's start your busy planning day from Abeno Harukas Observatory, and Tsutenkaku Tower (don't miss the slide!), then head to Osaka Castle. Umeda Sky building can be an additional option. At the end of the day, take the Dotonbori River Cruise Boat.

Tips: Get your boarding pass early if you would like to take the boat in the evening. Evening Cruises are sold out quickly.
