Day 1:

Start your morning in the picturesque Castle District, where you can stroll along the cobblestone streets and visit Buda Castle. Inside, you'll find the National Gallery and the Budapest Historical Museum. Don't miss the nearby Matthias Church and the Fisherman's Bastion, offering breathtaking views of the Danube River and Pest. Cross the iconic Szechenyi Chain Bridge for a delightful lunch at Vakvarju Restaurant, followed by a visit to Strudel House for dessert. In the afternoon, discover the Parliament and Freedom Square, remembering to book in advance if you wish to tour the Parliament's interior. In the evening, you can drive or walk up to the Citadel to enjoy the stunning city views at sunset and when it's lit up at night.

Day 2:

Continue your long weekend in Budapest with a lovely morning stroll on Margaret Island, boasting diverse attractions like the Japanese Garden, ancient ruins, and scenic water fountains. Next, marvel at the beautiful architecture of St. Stephen's Basilica before taking a leisurely walk along Andrassy Street, home to upscale shops and the National Opera House. Enjoy a delightful lunch at Twentysix Budapest. In the afternoon, delve into history at the beautiful Dohany Street Synagogue, the largest synagogue in Europe. Day 3:

Begin your day your last day of your long weekend in Budapest at Heroes' Square, where you can admire striking statues of past national leaders and the Seven Chieftains of the Magyars, along with the Memorial Stone of Heroes. Explore the nearby Vajdahunyad Castle in Varosliget, a stunning 1896 landmark. For a taste of Hungarian cuisine, stop by Gundel Cafe Patisserie Restaurant for lunch, where you must try the Goulash soup, Paprika Chicken with "nokedli," and Traditional Gundel Pancakes or Somlo Sponge cake for dessert. In the afternoon, unwind at the famous Szecheny Bath, one of the city's renowned thermal baths. As evening sets in, take a leisurely stroll along the Danube River and marvel at Budapest's enchanting beauty.
