Day 1: Explore the city
You’ve arrived in the city of endless fun: NOLA. Start with lunch at Sylvain – serving Southern classics and French Quarter classic cocktails. But, of course, don’t forget the whiskey! After lunch, go on a bike tour of the city to see the different neighborhoods. Next, stop by any shops that catch your eye and every bar you pass.
Finally, end the day with drinks in the lobby at the Hotel Monteleone. Tonight, dinner is served at Brennan's – a James Beard Foundation restaurant in New Orleans. Their innovative Creole menu borrows French and Spanish ancestry influences with modern updates and distinct seasonal offerings. Walk down to Bourbon Street, the infamous street in NOLA, and spend the night dancing in one of its many fun venues.
Day 2: French Quarter highlights and music
After a night out, roll out of bed just at about brunch-time. Court of Two Sisters is a lovely wisteria-flanked establishment serving Creole and Cajun cuisine over a Jazz-accompanied brunch. Here you can hear the story of Emma and Bertha, who once led the establishment, and try some of their specialties at the buffet.
Take the afternoon to walk around Jackson Square. Known as one of New Orleans’ most recognizable landmarks, Jackson Square is a National Historic Landmark nestled in the center of the French Quarter. Then make it over to City Park for a walk around the lake and over its arching bridges. And if you’re feeling up to it, maybe even conduct a cemetery tour to learn about the city’s voodoo traditions.
For dinner, reserve at Paladar 511 for Italian dishes like pizza. Finally, seal off the evening with music and dancing at Spotted Cat.
Day 3: Unwind at the pool
As you wake up, opt for breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel. Then, spend the day hanging out at the spectacular pool at the historic Monteleone.
