Things to do in Palm Springs

Some favorite things of mine to do while visiting Palm Springs include:

  • Lounge by the pool in the desert sun! My absolute favorite way to relax.

  • Palm Springs Air Museum.

  • Drive around the city to admire the architecture and breathtaking San Juanito Mountain views.

  • Palm Springs Art Museum - Marilyn Monroe statue.

  • Starbucks' reserve and the shops in the downtown strip.

  • Spa at Sec He — Relax in the Auge Caliente Hot Mineral Spring water and enjoy a massage after that Drag brunch at Oscars.

  • Joshua Tree National Park — drive over in the day for a hike or rock climbing or go in the evening for camping and stargazing in the park!

  • Desert Hills Shopping in Cabazon.

Day trips:

  • From LAX - Palm Springs is a short drive over from Los Angeles. When I used to live in LA, I would make the drive over about once or twice a month, even just for lunch. The Desert Hills Shopping Center and the Cabazon Outlets are always a great stop on the way and make sure you grab a picture in front of the Cabazon Giant Dinosaurs!

Places to eat & drink in Palm Springs

  • Farm -I’ve only been for breakfast, but I’m sure the dinner menu is just as great.

  • Thai Smile.

  • Blue Coyote Mexican! You have to try the ceviche.

  • Sandfish Whiskey & Sushi.

  • Lulus California Bistro — The cotton candy in a martini glass is so fun, especially for a birthday treat or celebration!

  • Palm Springs Air Bar.

  • Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar.

Need to know

Check out the airport while you’re there! It’s beautiful with a huge outdoor courtyard to get between the gates.

Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway like your honeymoon, you’re visiting by yourself or planning to bring the family along, there is something for everyone in Palm Springs!
