Advisor - Family Spring Break in Scottsdale, Arizona
Curator’s statement

Scottsdale, Arizona, holds a unique and personal charm for me. Nestled in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, it's a place where the beauty of nature meets the warmth of community. For me, it’s not just my home but a vibrant, ever-changing landscape that inspires joy and connection with my friends and family. The iconic desert sunsets, sprawling cacti and scenic desert vistas create a picturesque backdrop for everyday life. The city itself offers a blend of cultural richness, modern amenities and outdoor adventure. Whether it’s exploring hiking trails, enjoying family-friendly events or immersing yourself in local art and history, Scottsdale provides the perfect environment for both relaxation and exploration.

Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Shalegh to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrival

Spend the morning in Old Town Scottsdale, exploring the historic district. It is full of art galleries, boutique shops and southwestern-style architecture. Stroll down Scottsdale Waterfront for scenic views of the Arizona Canal. Grab breakfast at Prep and Pastry or Olive and Ivy.

Head over to Scottsdale Stadium to catch a San Francisco Giants spring training game. Tickets are generally affordable, especially if you purchase in advance. Arrive early for a chance to meet some players and enjoy the lively atmosphere. After the game, make your way to The Old Town Tortilla Factory for some authentic southwestern Mexican food. Check in to your resort and enjoy the amenities for the rest of the day.

Day 2: Outdoor fun & water activites

Enjoy Scottsdale’s mild weather and get outside in the morning by visiting one of our beautiful parks. Head over to the McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park. This park has a mini-train ride, carousel and museum, which are all affordable and fun.

Before returning to the resort, give Oregano’s Pizza a try, they offer delicious pizza, pasta and more in a fun, lively atmosphere. It’s a local favorite and very reasonably priced.

Spend the afternoon relaxing at your resort in the pools, in the lazy river or on the slide.

Pro tip, if your resort doesn’t have a water park or slide, use Resort Pass to visit one of our many local resorts that do!

Day 3: Explore nature & hidden gems

Start your day with a visit to Hole in the Rock, a natural wonder that’s accessible for the whole family. Then visit The Phoenix Zoo or Desert Botanical Gardens.

A day at the Phoenix Zoo is an exciting and enriching experience for visitors of all ages. The zoo, located in Papago Park, is home to more than 3,000 animals and features a variety of exhibits that showcase wildlife from around the world.

Desert Botanical Garden will have you wandering through the majesties of the Sonoran Desert. It’s an affordable way to experience the local desert flora and wildlife, and the garden often hosts seasonal events and exhibits.

Day 4: More baseball & local culture

Spring Training is back on the agenda, but this time at Salt River Fields, at Talking Stick. This is home to the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies. The facility offers a great atmosphere with a more laid-back feel compared to larger stadiums.

Hit up The Sugar Bowl for lunch or dinner. It’s a local favorite.

Day 5: Relaxation & departure

Pack up at your hotel and take a quick stop at the pool or spa before heading home.

Additional days

Fifteen Major League Baseball teams host their Spring Training games in Arizona every year across ten stadiums. That's half of the Major League's 30 teams with a distance between stadiums of no more than 45 miles. There are multiple games playing at multiple stadiums most days with different seating options affordable to almost everyone.
