Curator’s statement
The Dolomites is one of the most underrated and special destinations I've been to in recent years- it offers a great mix of culture, food & wine, and the great outdoors. The Dolomites are also great for skiing in the winter, but summer is my chosen season because the colors are so vivid at that time of year- the towns are quiet and peaceful and the hiking trails are just screaming for you to walk them. Even though this region is technically part of Italy, it has it's own distinct mountain culture (Sud-Tirolese)- for most people, Italian is really their second language. But this just makes for an incredible cross cultural experience that mixes really well if you're planning to make the Dolomites a stop on a longer European or Italian itinerary. I can't wait for you to explore it!

Day 1: Arrival into the Dolomites
Generally, the drive from Venice or Milan is a 3 hour drive without stopping. However, if you enjoy wine - I highly recommend a stop for lunch on the way - and I know just the place to buy all the best Italian wines (think: Gaja) at inexpensive prices for you to bring with you to the mountains. Set up at your hotel, and enjoy the afternoon at the spa. Tomorrow, we get going!
Day 2: Skiing & dining
Head up to the lift from La Villa (Piz Sorega). You can even walk up from Corvara. Lunch at the delicious Rifugio Bioch. Dinner at L'Fana Grill.
Day 3: Hiking & paragliding
Hike Col de Locia with lunch at Rifugio Scotoni.
Optional paragliding in the afternoon!
Dinner at Armentarola.
Day 4: Rock climbing
Rock climbing at Cinque Torri with lunch at Rifugio Averau. Dinner at La Perla.
Day 5: Hiking & cocktails
Hike the Sassongher Peak with lunch at Rifugio Gardenacia.
Stop at the Crep de Munt for a Bombardino!
Dinner at Miky's Grill in Arabba. Don't miss it!
