Ah, Rome, my love. What can be written that hasn't already been said? The architecture, the ruins, the fountains, the pizza, the pasta, the coffee, the gelato, the people, the culture: all a picture of perfection. Let's have a picnic and take it all in.

Things to do in Rome

  • Villa Sciarra - Charming and lesser-known park between Trastevere & Monteverde. With a villa at the center and sculptures throughout, Villa Sciarra is a wonderful spot for a picnic.

  • Villa Borghese - Enchanting landscaped garden on the Pincian Hill. Take a step back in time and wander among the villas, pavilions, fountains and sculptures found in the garden.

  • Villa Corsini & the Botanical Garden of Rome - Located between Trastevere and the Gianicolo hill, you'll find a green oasis. Paths will wind you through gardens, greenhouses and fountains. Enjoy the Japanese Garden and Butterfly House.

  • Villa Torlonia - Villa Torlonia is a hidden gem, completely off-the-beaten-path. Surrounding a neoclassical villa that was once home to Mussolini, this park is the perfect place for a stroll and picnic.

  • Villa Doria Pamphili - An immense and beautiful landscaped park in Rome. Villa Doria Pamphili is located in Monteverde. Don't miss the Casino del Bel Respiro which overlooks a geometrical garden.

  • Piazza Navona - Right in the center of the hustle and bustle, Piazza Navona is an ideal spot for people-watching and a quick bite.
