Day 1: Arrive in Dubrovnik and check into your hotel.

Old Town walking tour: Begin with a walking tour of Dubrovnik's Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Instantly recognizable to fans. This location was pivotal in the dramatic confrontation between King Joffrey and his subjects. The gate leads directly into the bustling streets of the Old Town, making it a perfect starting point for a Game of Thrones walking tour.

Pro Tip: Arrive early in the morning or later in the evening to avoid the crowds to get the best photos. The gate is beautifully lit at night.

Wander through Stradun (Placa), the main street, following in the footsteps of Cersei’s infamous “Walk of Shame.”

Visit Onofrio’s Fountain and the Franciscan Monastery, soaking in the medieval atmosphere.

Evening sunset at Lovrijenac Fortress: Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Adriatic Sea and Dubrovnik’s city walls. Lovrijenac Fortress is perched on a 37-meter high cliff, making it an imposing and strategic stronghold. In Game of Thrones, it serves as the Red Keep, the heart of the power struggle in King's Landing.

Explore the fortress and walk the very paths where Cersei Lannister and other key characters schemed and plotted. The panoramic views from the top are spectacular, offering a real sense of the grandeur and peril depicted in the series.

Pro Tip: It's a steep climb to the fortress, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a bit of a workout.

Day 2: Exploring the Real-Life King's Landing

Morning: Dubrovnik City Walls
Begin your day with a walk along Dubrovnik’s city walls. This two-kilometer walk offers panoramic views of the Old Town and the sea. Allocate a couple of hours to fully appreciate the views and history.

Visit Fort Bokar and Minceta Tower, both integral parts of Dubrovnik's defensive walls, which encircle the Old Town. These locations were used in epic battle scenes and the Minčeta Tower, is the spot where Daenerys Targaryen attempts to enter the House of the Undying in Qarth.

Afternoon: Rector’s Palace and Sponza Palace
Explore Rector’s Palace, which served as the residence of the rulers of Dubrovnik. Its stunning architecture and historic significance make it a must-visit. Stop by Sponza Palace, a Gothic-Renaissance structure that now houses the city archives. The courtyard was used for various scenes.

Evening: Dinner in King's Landing
Enjoy a freshly caught and crafted Croatian dinner at Nautika Restaurant, offering a one-of-a-kind view of the Adriatic and the fortresses. After dinner, take a leisurely stroll through the illuminated streets of the Old Town.

Day 3: Beyond the City Walls

Morning: Lokrum Island
Take a short boat ride to Lokrum Island, located just 600 meters from Dubrovnik. The island served as the city of Qarth in Game of Thrones, where you’ll see sites from scenes featuring Oberyn, The Mountain, and the Dothraki. Explore the botanical gardens, Benedictine Monastery, and Fort Royal Castle. Don’t miss the iron throne replica for a gram-worthy photo.

Afternoon: Trsteno Arboretum
Travel to Trsteno Arboretum, about 30 minutes from Dubrovnik. This beautiful garden was used for many of the scenes in the Red Keep’s gardens. Wander through the lush greenery, fountains, and sculptures. The views of the Adriatic from here are spectacular!

Evening: Return to Dubrovnik
Return to Dubrovnik for dinner. Try family-owned Proto, recommended by the Michelin guide for its traditional Dalmatian seafood cuisine.

Day 4: A Journey to Essos

Morning: Split day trip
Take a day trip to Split, another key filming location. Travel by bus or rent a car for the scenic drive. Begin with Diocletian’s Palace, the setting for Daenerys’ throne room in Meereen.

Afternoon: Klis Fortress
Visit Klis Fortress, just a short drive from Split. This impressive fortress was used to depict the city of Meereen, where some of the scenes with Daenerys and the Unsullied Army were filmed.

Evening: Return to Dubrovnik
Explore the fortress and enjoy the panoramic views of Split and the surrounding countryside before returning to Dubrovnik.

Day 5: Finale

Morning: Mount Srd Cable Car
Take the cable car to Mount Srd for a breathtaking view of Dubrovnik and the surrounding islands. The panoramic views are perfect for memorable photos of your visit to the real-life King’s Landing!

Afternoon: Shopping and Relaxation
Last chance for afternoon shopping and souvenirs! The Old Town is filled with shops featuring both local artisans and crafts and Game of Thrones memorabilia.

Evening: Farewell Dinner
