The Amalfi Coast is one of those places that is actually better than you imagined. From the crystal blue waters to the picturesque porticos jutting out from the cliffs, prepare to be awed.

Path of the Gods

Getting to the trailhead in Bomerano

From Amalfi this can be accomplished by a rideshare (recommended and most flexible), getting a taxi (most expensive), or catching the 5080 SITA bus (cheapest but stressful if you have a time schedule).

Trail Options

From Bomerano to Nocelle is 3.6 miles; going on to Positano is a total of 5.8 miles. Starting in Bomerano and heading west, the hike will be down hill. Stopping in Nocelle is a popular option because going on to Positano is down 1700 stone steps and can be difficult on knees. Additional peaks include Monte Tre Calli, Monto Calabrice and Cape Muro.

Considerations

There are some places along the hike to refill your water bottle, or purchase refreshments and snacks if desired. This path is hikable year round, and will be busiest from April-October. We went towards the end of September while there wasn’t much of a crowd and the weather was perfect.
