Best time to visit:
Summer is the busiest time on the Isle of Mull, with everything in full swing, daylight lasting until 10:00 PM and the weather at its best. This season is also prime time for puffin spotting. Autumn, with its fewer tourists and colorful trees, offers a quieter experience, though boat trips usually conclude by October.
How long to spend:
While it's possible to visit Mull in a single day, a stay of 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate it.
How to get around:
Taxis and public transportation are limited on Mull. For the best experience, plan to visit as part of a road trip, giving you the flexibility to explore the island's remote corners and scenic routes at your own pace. Or book a tour.
