Things to do in California

What to do - Mad Dogs and Englishmen: Embark on a captivating bike ride through breathtaking views of Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Monterey on their pedal assist electric bikes or electric throttle option accompanied with a side car for your furry friends. We had so much fun riding through local neighborhoods resulting in a 21-mile loop round trip!

What to see - Carmel beach: Sunsets at Carmel Beach are an essential and must-do evening experience. The soft white sand, framed by Cyprus and oak trees, provides a stunning backdrop as the sun dips below the horizon of the Pacific.

What to do - Pebble Beach: Embark on a mesmerizing journey along 17-Mile Drive in Pebble Beach, where every twist and turn reveals breathtaking coastal cliffs, pristine beaches, and lush forests. Its an unforgettable scenic drive that encapsulates the beauty of the California coast

What to do - Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk: The ultimate seaside fun is waiting in what's hailed as the world's best seaside park. Enjoy thrilling rides, historic landmarks, and a tantalizing array of food options. It's a great stop to stretch your legs and grab a snack on your PCH road trip.

What to see - Point Lobos State Natural Reserve: This State park offers gorgeous views of Northern California shoreline and it boast some of the most diverse marine habitats. We were only the search for sea otters our entire trip and finally caught a glimpse of 5 otters while hiking trails at Point Lobos.

Places to eat & drink in California

Where to eat - Malibu Farms: Indulge in farm-fresh delights with the best coastal views in Malibu at the full-service restaurant, conveniently located at the pier's doorstep. Savor the farm-to-table fare and sip on specialty cocktails while soaking in the scenery. I suggest trying the flawlessly crispy crab cake which was paired with tangy caper berries.

Where to eat - Enzo: Discover the essence of a Western Mediterranean lifestyle at Enzo, nestled in between Ocean Ave and Seventh St. With its rustic charm, sun-drenched patios, and cozy interiors warmed by a fireplace, Enzo offers a taste of Calabria where simplicity, love, and comfort, converge in every dish. I indulged in the evening special which was a Lemon Caper Swordfish with Broccolini.

Where to eat - Rockfish Harbor Grill: The restaurant features stunning panoramic harbor vistas, it's the perfect spot to savor Monterey's rich fishing tradition and coastal charm. You can't go wrong with an order of the Clam Chowder served in a toasted garlic brushed bread bowl.

Where to eat - Porta Bella: The charming restaurant lured us in with its picturesque patio and a table side serenade by local musician. The Assiette De Fromage offered a delicious spread of cheese to accompany a glass of champagne

Where to eat - Cella: Cella Restaurant is nestled in the historic Cooper-Molera Adobe in Downtown Monterey. With a spacious heated outdoor patio the venue paired creative cocktails with culinary delights. They rotate items on the menu so you can enjoy new dishes each visit. If you happen to be there on an evening they're serving, we recommend the Asparagus soup and Salmon entree.
