Where to stay

Unlock perks by contacting Evan to book your trip.

Day 1: Arrive in Oslo

The skyline of the city of Oslo.

Day 1 is spent in the air flying from the US to Oslo, Norway.

Day 2: Get a Lay of the Ground

Oslo city with buildings and a lake.

Fly in to Oslo, grab ground transportation to your accommodations in Oslo. Settle in and explore the immediate area around your hotel by foot.

Day 3: Museum Hop & Hop ON/OFF Tour

Munch museum architecture seen from water.

In the morning visit the Holmenkollen Ski Museum & Tower. Great views of the city and surrounding area and is not a big time requirement. Lunch in downtown Oslo then to the Munch Museum. Take your time and explore the works of world famous artist Edvard Munch. Be sure to grab lunch first or you may be very hungry before you finish your self guided Munch tour.

The Hop On Hop Off city tour would be the next activity. After being on your feet all morning the bus tour will be a welcome respite for your feet. This is a great way to spend the remainder of your day as you can explore as you desire on the Hop on/off rout.

Day 4: Downtown Oslo

Oslo city skyline.

The Norwegian Museum of Cultural History is an open air museum totally worth exploring. The Akershus Fortress is another look into Norwegian culture and history. Use the remainder of your day exploring downtown Oslo.

Day 5: Flam

A green train traveling to the Norway countryside.

Oslo train to Myrdal, Flam train from Myrdal to Flam. One of the most iconic and scenic train rides in the world. Sit back and enjoy the ride (sit on the left side for better views even though both sides are outstanding). Stay in your arranged accommodations and exploring Flam.

Day 6-9: Bergen

The colorful city of Bergen, Norway with houses standing on the fjord.

Make your way to Bergen. Take the Ferry to Gundvangen along one of the most scenic fjords in Norway. Then a short bus ride to Voss where you will once again board the Bergen-Oslo train into Bergen. Spend 3 nights in Historic Bergen hiking, biking, shopping, guided city tours, fjord tours, etc. There is plenty to do in and around Bergen.

Day 10-12: Village Road Trip

Hiking Pulpit Rock in Norway.

From Bergen you can rent a car and hit the road headed south. Follow the coast line exploring small villages and communities all the way back to Oslo. Hike Pulpit Rock near Stavanger, visit the fishing village of Flekkefjord, Kristiansand is a port city worth exploring the nearby fjords. Then on to Oslo in time for your departing flight.

I would highly recommend spending the last two nights in Oslo area to recoup and repack for the trip home. What a way to spend 14 days in Norway!
