Things to do in Colorado

Take a day of skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating or shopping in Vail, Aspen, Snowmass and more.
Learn about the history of the Wild West and visit famous landmarks.
Travel along the continental divide at Independence Pass and several other Colorado locations.
Visit Leadville and check out the saloon where Doc Holliday was known to hang out.

Visit Camp Hale just outside Leadville for a day of guided or self-guided snowmobiling.

Day trips
We loved the day trip to Camp Hale, about 30 minutes outside Leadville. There, we hired a guide at Nova Guides and rode snowmobiles to heights as high as 13,000 feet! Amazing half- and full-day excursions.
From Denver, take a two-hour drive to Vail and enjoy Vail and Lionshead villages for skiing, snowboarding, ice-skating and a great lunch or dinner.
Visit Aspen for more winter sports and some amazing shopping at famous shops like Dior, Gucci, Valentino and more. Fantastic eateries are peppered along the sidewalks, so any choice will be a good one!
Take road trip to Leadville and visit the famous Silver Dollar Saloon where Doc Holliday gambled and see slugs in the wall from the famous gunslinger's gun fights. You can find Doc's grave in Glenwood Springs. If you love old Western history, you'll find it here.
Visit Smuggler Mine Tours in Aspen. Immerse yourself in the captivating world of Colorado mining history as you step into an authentic silver mine. Guided tours provide a firsthand account of the arduous work and techniques used by resilient miners who once worked these tunnels in search of precious metals.
Book a room at The Hythe Resort and Spa in Lionshead Village, where you can enjoy a day at the spa, year-round outdoor swimming in the heated pool. complimentary s'mores at the outdoor fire pits, hot tubs, great food and more.
